Lakers just beating a team they're supposed to beat.
They called a moving screen on Carmelo when Denver was making its move, and that was a legitimate call. They called Carmelo, while trying to get position on Ron Artest, for a no-call that took away one of the best players on Denver when they had 2 minutes to overcome a Lakers lead.
And Ron Artest, who has gotten in a players' face for getting a no-call, and he had a legitimate complaint, that eventually got him tossed, pumped his fists in victory.
Why because Mark Jackson said so? Anthony clearly pushed off you got to be blind not to see that. Could it had been let go? Yes. Have they called a lot less contact fouls on the Lakers all game? Yes. If it was a game where Lakers got away with fouls on the Nuggets ok I would get why you would want the refs to give Melo a hand and not foul him out when he clearly pushed artest arm away. However every little contact all game was being called in the Nuggets favor I don't see how anyone can complain about that call after that game.
Pushed off?! LOL..
Also, Mark Jackson saying it(although I wasn't paying attention to what he was saying, because he's Mark Jackson and all) kind of does mean something, he's the biggest Laker homer on National TV..
Seriously though, you guys have to be complete idiots to believe that the NBA doesn't favor certain teams and players..even NATIONAL analysts say this ALL the time(Barkley, JVG, Wilbon..everybody)..
I don't know why everybody is so mad anyways, I said the refs were fine..
how bout the bull calls that got our big man out of the game for a majority of the first half? How bout those? How bout Kobe getting hacked in the paint with no calls yet Nene shoulders Gasol and its a foul? DO you want to make a list of fouls? Because at the end, Denver shot 33 FT's and Lakers shot 21. So its pretty LAME that anyone would call Referee Bias in favor of the Lakers when it was clearly one sided the other way.
I'm not saying you're wrong, but do you have video evidence of this?..I'd like to see the calls you're talking about..
Why do you watch the game then?
Why dont you check the FREE THROW stats before halftime and come back to us.
As a sidenote, if Laker Ron plays this kind of D in the Playoffs, the Lakers are in good hands.
Why wouldn't I?..certain people are always going to be favored in every aspect of life, it doesn't change anything..
If I believed it was actually rigged, I wouldn't watch it..it would be impossible to fix an entire basketball game..
You gotta give Melo props. When Artest was playing rough, Melo laughed it off. Kobe, Wade and LeBron all would have been crying.
LOL at ppl ing & moaning. How many times did Kobe drive into the lane & get no calls? I understand that refs probably get sick of him cussin n but he doesnt get much love anymore when he tries to get to the rim.
and only idiots would say the ref favored the Lakers in this game.
That doesn't mean anything..a team can be aggressive and get legitimately fouled and get to the line, especially Denver..
It's easier to talk about bad calls when there is video evidence instead of pointing out free throws..just saying..
What did that get him?..he lost..those other guys win..
Turned on the game towards the end. Saw Denver get hosed on a call that seals the win for LA. I guess Denver is the new Sacramento.
You obviously didnt watch the game.
and you didnt watch the first half when Gasol and Bynum has 3 fouls each and Denver shot 23 FT's and Lakers shot 4. FT's
Kobe doesn't get calls for the same reason Duncan gets screwed on calls all the time now..they both complain on every single play, even when they aren't legitimately fouled..refs are human, they obviously get tired of that, which builds a bias against certain players, which leads to favoring..it's wrong, but as I said, the league and refs are obviously biased..
Can you say that, again?
LOL im gettin the outta this thread LMAO..All these suckas will do anything to come up with excuses if LA gets a good W.
yes your an idiot for basing your thoughts on a game when you admitted you only watched towards the end.
Melo laughs at everything, i've noticed. Literally everything.
Yeah, some things never change. The obligatory reply that fouls in the first half equals crunch time calls.
