    Seriously, the Mavs did make some nice additions and they are playing well. However, it is too early to say what kind of impact they will make against the elite. Lets see what they do now that the excitement of the trade is wearing down. It's a long way to go.

    As far as feeling threatened by Dallas? Not at all. I know in the playoffs that at their best, the Lakers are second to none in the playoffs. Dallas? Who knows. Lakers in 5
    You remember the last time the Mavs played the Rockets in the playoffs don't you?

    When Dampier comes back the Mavs would have two defensive centers to throw at BYnum and they have multiple defenders to throw @ Kobe... Odom is still a problem along with Gasol if he shows up.

    Its lunacy to say the Mavs dont have a shot... although ultimately I think the Lakers generate too many points in paint while the Mavs are still reliant on jump shots... and since the trade, fast break points which become more difficult to create in the playoffs.
