No I'm not, just that being "brainwashed" by your standards doesn't mean much. Why can't someone choose to believe what they want, and teach others what they believe? A child grows up and sees the world through his/her own eyes. If they can't see any fallacy in their beliefs and you can, it must mean they're brainwashed!

If their parents shelter the out of them and intentionally do everything they can to make sure they don't see fallacy in the beliefs they were raised on, yes, it does mean they're brainwashed.
My standards are based on facts and logic. Her standards are based on what she learned at Jebus camp. There's the difference.

This isn't medieval times. Contrary opinions abound, intra-religiously even. You have to convince yourself that you're right using evidence or you're just crazy. Being crazy doesn't mean being brainwashed.
There are ways (such as homeschool) to keep your children away from contrary opinions. If you forcefeed your kid certain beliefs and do things like tell your kid people who believe other stuff are the devil and they're going to , you're brainwashing them.

In my view, a child should be allowed to come to Faith on his own terms. My mother is a religious person. I went to catechism but after that she let me make my own decision about religion.
Unfortunately, some parents are not content with their child’s mere knowledge of his or her religion; they want their children to have Faith. So they use psychological manipulation. It's called brainwashing.

He's what Christians and role models should aspire to be - smart, successful, upstanding citizen, and serves the community. He does talk about God a ton but from what I've seen its only during occasions where he's talking about himself. He doesn't go around quoting the Bible to fulfill a hater's agenda and how guys like Obama are the anti-christ.
He uses his religion to motivate himself and helps others....not to on science (being a math major in the Naval Academy helps too) nor does the Admiral use it as a tool for hate unlike the dumbass mobs that use it to persecute and on others.
