Smoky has proved he can raise a look-a-like avatar of an unburied body, BUT THAT IS NOT THAT PERSON. Locke wasn't raised by Smokie, he was copied. His corpse remains quite dead. IIRC, he was even starting to get ripe when they buried him.

And let's not use the character of Ben as an expert on Lost canon. That "dead is dead" comment is coming from someone who apparently didn't know .

How do you know he's not inside Christian the same way? Have they shown avatar Locke and Avatar Christian together? You're making assumptions that Smokie can't animate two different bodies. It doesn't even have to be simultaneous. FLocke doesn't cease to be when he turns back into the monster. Why would Flocke cease to be if Smokie decided to put his Christian face on for a while?

Why did they not just have the Sonic Fence around the temple. Juliet used it in Season 3 to slap the smoke monster.
