As much as i hate the Mavs, I admit the Mavs also had marvelous years in the past decade and it was always the Mavs that gave the toughest contests to Spurs. Despite the number of rings, Mavs assembled a powerful squad and managed many 50+ win seasons but the Spurs were still one inch above Mavs standard. What differentiats the Mavs from elites is their brittle heart that often leads them to suck when situated in big events. It wasn't because they have no rings that they're pathetic but that they were once so close to a championship and miraculously they choked everything away all of a sudden.
