11 out of 16. Lost 1 of my great 8 and 1 sweet 16. Not great, but not out of the running.
I have 3 1-point losses and a 2-point loss but that's not how it works.

Also had another double overtime win with BYU over Florida.
I'm pretty pissed about those two above losses, but I realize how lucky I am with my bracket. I could be destroyed right now.
JMark I shoulda listened to you about OD over ND, I fell in love with the big east and its gonna end up killing me this year.
ya Cornell. Didn't think Temple was that great no matter how many "experts" said otherwise.
I don't remember more than a handful of experts who expected much of Temple in that matchup with Cornell.
Got my ass kicked today. 4-3 thus far. Could have a big evening, as I'm confident in all my picks tonight, but I was confident in Sienna and Clemson a well, so who knows...
Sienna and Clemson were also games I was pretty sure about. So far I'm 5-2 today. Jmark who do you have for the remaining two 8 vs. 9 matchups?
I was for sure Siena was going to win as well. Purdue surprised me with their play in the 2nd half or maybe Siena just didnt show up.
Maybe not many experts didnt pick Temple. I must have been hearing it from the same source over and over then. I just felt Cornell was too much for them, even though they are Ivy league.
I got Cal and Zaga for the 8v9. Louisville has looked good at times, but I like Cal and I really don't think much of the ACC, but who knows. Strange year so far.
And apparently I did not give the Big 12 enough credit. Can't believe I picked Utah State for sweet 16. Oh well.
Cal is thin up front anyways, and suspended its second-best forward (Amoke) for the game, so they won't have any sort of first wave of defense to stop Louisville, let alone depth to absorb the all-but-guaranteed foul trouble coming to Boykin. Samuels should feast on them. Loved cal in this, but it was a toss up game with Amoke. Without him, it tilts to Louisville due to size, depth and coaching.
This favors guy has been compared to Amare Stoudemire by some and I don't see it at all. Also Gatech is so much more talented than this team it's not even funny, but they play with such a low basketball IQ it doesn't seem to matter. I've never seen perimeter players who are so bad at entry passes.
I liked what I saw from Georgia Tech the last few weeks, so I went with them. They are playing tough, but yes, they struggle with so many basics. It's really frustrating.
I picked them as well because I always pick the team that scores inside vs. the team that relies on 3's, but there's no excuse why they aren't feeding the post on every single possession. Their coach sucks horribly, it's blatantly obvious he didn't prepare his big men to defend that lefty on OSU.
Scout.com ranked Georgia Tech's last five incoming freshman classes as 11th overall in the nation. Granted, some of the players are no longer on the team due to graduation and early-entry, but they have always had strong talent (this ranking doesn't even take into account the players on their 04-05 National Runner-up team or Bosh before that).
Their coach has always underachieved with top talent.
Well, ended up same as I was yesterday at 12-4... Went 7-0 to start yesterday, then finished 5-4. Started 4-3 today, then finished 8-1. Had I went with my gut on all my picks, I'd be sitting at 28-4. Instead, I second-guessed myself out of four wins in the only four games I changed from my initial bracket. Boo UTEP, boo Texas, boo Temple, boo Louisville... I'm a respectable 24-8 overall, with 15/16 Sweet 16 teams still in play.
Did you pray to Saint Mary?
Nice one Flint.
Heh thanks. Just hadn't been very impressed with 'nova recently and St. Mary's has looked pretty darn good.
NI just helped me out quite a bit with all the people who picked Kansas to the win it all or the final four in our tourney.![]()
Maryland might have just been gifted the final four with Lucas re-injuring his foot.
Do the Cornell cheerleaders know what salad is?
Great shot Michigan State, my bracket needed it.
incredible finish in the state game. really missed lucas with that press. hopefully he can come back after a few days rest.
