Half the West playoff teams haven't been healthy all year.
Number 8th seed is what SPURS deserve AT MOST.
Half the West playoff teams haven't been healthy all year.
Lets sign Manu for 2-3m per, but not more....that be craaaaazzzyyy.
what is it with the T.O. jokes? who looks like T.O.? i only caught the last 3 minutes
Hopefully to play with his best friend in Houston.![]()
On the upside, I guess all that "It's just the Nets" talk can be put to rest when anyone points out Mahinmi's good performance in the first game.
The Lakers lost to the Hornets tonight, so that makes me feel a little better.
I'll take the 8th seed. We can beat the Lakers if the big 3 are healthy.
GO SPURS GO!!!!!
The Spurs needed this win desperately. They should be ashamed.
My main concern is that Duncan is literally a shadow of his former self. Seriously.
Either there is a serious injury the Spurs' brass is hiding, or this is Tim Duncan declining extremely fast in front of our eyes. He looks lost out there. On offense, he is getting the ball in the right/correct spots... he simply looks very slow out there. On defense, he let's everyone score on him. He still has length and positioning, but even his timing looks rusty.
Can you say with confidence now days that a team with Duncan as a leader cannot miss the playoffs? That Duncan would not let that happen. Not anymore.
I know TP is injured, and Pop gave Manu the day off, but give me a ing break. These are the Nets!! The team that never watches and analyze video together as a team!! The team that was on track to get the worst record in the history of the NBA!! The team that we had a 15 wining streak against them!! Are you telling me that Duncan, Richardson, McDyess, Hill, Blair, Bonner, the Centerpiece and Mason are not enough to beat the Nets?
The problem I see know is the sharply decline from TD is that we have no interior defense. In the playoffs, Manu could play like SuperManu on both ends of the floor, TP could comeback fresh and be unstoppable... they could potentially cover the offense and create for others to compensate for TD offense. This is tough, but it could be (hypothetically) done.
What it cannot be covered is the front court defense of the paint. If Duncan falters, then... well, we are screwed. McDyess could help, but may not be enough. Blair can get some rebounds, but he wont help with long front court players... and Bonner on defense will try but he doesn't have the physical prowess to be a good defender. Ian is too green and too foul prone... alas, we are screwed.
Defense in the paint is currently the huge Spurs' Achilles heel in the playoffs.
As wonderfully surprising as the Boston win was, this latest loss to the Nets is 100 times as awful. Leave it to this bunch to follow up the best win of the season, with the worst loss of the decade.
Worst loss of the season. The End.
That's Spurs basketball for you.
Thank you.
Rodrigue Beaubois >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Hill
LOL SpursTalk in full meltdown mode.
I don't let the regular season get me down much. Even this.
Were this a playoff loss, I'd be tossing my television out the window.
Congrats to the Nets for not being the worst team ever.
Some of you spurs fans are the biggest emo fans in the league.
Get a grip jeeze...mad annoying reading the ing after every loss like it's the end of the world and then saying how the team is awesome the next day.
Get a grip siiiisssssys!
This game shouldn't have even been close. We shouldn't have needed a miracle 3 to tie the game. Spurs should've won by 20.
Idiot the Lakers could careless right noiw they have already clinched the first seed...dumbass
This is pretty much free therapy for some on ST, maybe more for some than others. In the end everyone calms down the following day and we'll still love and support the Spurs.
It's all good, we still beat the Cavs & the Celtics. It's just the Nets, I saw the Spurs did them a favor. We'll get the 7th or 6th seed eventually.
Manu for the MLE... lol
Manu beat 3 playoffs teams with a bunch of players that canīt beat the Nets.
This may have sealed all the question he migh have had about returning here.
it confuses me that everyone is so surprised that tim is playing like a tired, old guy. He's older now, and he's tired. I think at the end of last year he started playing a little tired, too. I also thought he was good enough when the playoffs came around for us to compete against the mavs, if anyone besides tony or hill had showed up. so...it's embarrassing to lose to the nets, but manu's playing great, and if tony's feet heal up a bit and he comes back not super rusty...i think we've got a shot. and all we can ask for is a shot.
Correct
