McDonald said that Manu was so sore he couldn't dress himself this am...then as the day went on it loosened up. He also said he expected to play Wed.

This doesn't seem serious. The back can stiffen up(spasms) then all is ok a day or two later.

We will know for sure if he plays next game or not.

    Imfamy, Spelling errors happen.

LOL and CROFL in the same sentence are a bit redundant.
    When spelling errors strike again...

It's infamy. The little red line under "imfamy" didn't tip you off?

As for Manu, I don't doubt he was sore and this is just Pop resting him for the night. Btw, it's not necessarily still an easy win. Devin Harris and Brook Lopez have both been playing well lately, and a team with nothing to lose can be pretty dangerous when the Spurs are missing their best two guards on the team.

Hopefully, Duncan and Hill can provide enough offense to get the Spurs a win.

Don't chalk it up to a win just yet though.

Yes, I'm juggling a couple of assignments at the same time. I'm typing so fast that I don't even notice the red line. I'm in and out.

It can only mean extended minutes for Mason. Spurs could have used Jackson now but he's gone. Maybe Jerells?

    whatever floats your boat

the problem with manu is if you count on him as a one of your two pieces he will get hurt
if you can use him as a third or 4 piece he is fine

that is why he is not worth more then 500k above the mle

Can't believe how many people fear the Nets without Ginobili. This is a W and the Spurs will win by double-digits.
Manu should be fine with an extra 2 days of rest. Watching the moment he went back to the bench, he winced, then stretched and twisted his shoulders to the right. It was a physical game & if this was the playoffs, I have no doubt he'd play. This is strictly precautionary. I will ask those of you who term this as serious to recognize that Ginobili has no pre-existing back issues like say DRob did. That's not an L4/5 sciatica issue, nor is it a tailbone one. That guy is now on RICE and probably getting a massage. Houston will deal with him come Wednesday.

Point is I don't care about anything except the Spurs winning. They need wins. They can't afford to get cute and lose a game like this. I want Manu to be healthy, but this does not sound serious and a win is more important.

If it works out, great. If not, it will have not been worth it.
    Smart decisions all around boys.

Can't say enough how stupid of a decision this was. If Manu is truly hurt, ok. But I don't think that is the case.

Oh well, looks like the ego won out.

So you pay 500k above the mle to the player who is the reason why you are not sporting a 22-50 record by now . . . ?

Pretty good timing though for a Manu injury, playing well, end of season, fighting for a playoff spot

    who saw this one coming?
People on the far Manu end of the spectrum cannot help but at least acknowledge that he MIGHT have a knack for not being ready for the playoffs for some time now.

But CBF blames Pop for this one if its true. What a stupid stupid human being to leave him in after it's an eighteen point game for three minutes straight. We had timeouts to spare. Call a time out. Take Manu out. Resume the blowout.

    That ing simple.

F pop if this is serious.

Realistically, we're going to make the playoffs, even if it's as an 8th seed. The Grizzlies are 6 games behind us with 9 games left to play. I really don't see them catching us now. We're gonna have to face the Lakers in the playoffs sooner or later...might as well get it over with.
