I can do it in 5 minutes regularly. I learned it a couple days ago. My goal is to get down to 1 minute and 30 seconds.

    8 yrs and counting......
I've never looked for "the answer"... i'm gonna break that if it's the last thing I do.

After one more hour of practice, I can do it regularly at 3 minutes. Whoa Hooo.

    Here's the secret:

    1) make a cross "+" with one color on one of the sides
    2) then solve the corners of that same side with the same color
    3) next, solve the second layer
    4) solve the corners of the side opposite of the side you already found the corner with
    5) after, solve the cross of the side on #4 with the same color
    6) make a upside down castle with all 4 sides, the sides already done are the top and bottom
    7) finish the last layer

For more info, AIM me. I'm usckk.

There is a pattern you can use. That's why people can do it blindfolded. Someone taught me how to use it and I was able to complete it on a regular basis in about 2-3 minutes. It was cool solving peoples cubes that they had been working for months in a few minutes but it got old after a while and so did the Rubik's Cube. It's been so long since I've even seen one that I'd probably be part of the group that smashes it on the head of the person that gave it to me and them calmly puts it back together

I bought the book when I was in high school, but couldn't figure that out. I watched as one of my teachers who use to show some of us students how to figure it out. So I remembered the pattern and tada!

When you first buy a Rubiks' cube, it's very hard to turn it quickly. Especially if you're trying to compete for speed. We use to take the cube apart and apply vaseline inside of it to slicken it up, making it easy to turn it quickly.
