Every spurs player being aggressive going to the basket and looking for offense. Start the 2nd half with a good dose of Timmy and try to get him going.

Nice energy, Jefferson with the big half. Gonna still need Hill to step up big in 2nd half because too much to ask Jefferson to throw in 34 pts for the game.

One more half, own the 3rd quarter, win the game.
Spurs can't afford any second half failures. Keep throwing the punches.

Butler<<<<<<<<<<<<<Howard. Great defense of that last shot and it exemplifies the effort in the 1st half. Can't tell if George is babying the ankle or if he's really hurt but he refuses to turn the corner and slash to the hole. I think he should rest more in this game as well and get geared up for the rest of the series.
I think it's obvious he's not 100% yet.. hasn't been an issue in this game yet however so might as well keep resting him

A for Pop, for doing his homework perfectly.

    Dogs involved - check
    Rebounds - check
    FT`s - check
    limited TO`s - check
    no Bogans - check
    stop Dirk - check

so far so good. Keep it going

For the first time in a Spurs uniform, Richard Jefferson determined how effective he would be. He wasn't relying upon being spoon-fed his offense or capitalizing off opportunistic breaks, the guy actually went out there, brought the energy, effort, intensity and he played with a purpose.

Congratulations, RJ. For one half, you took the bull by the horns.

    Now finish . . .

Great half and they fixed pretty much everything I complained about after game 1..

-Not overplaying Kidd and forcing him to drive the lane..Kidd is a horrible finisher, most of his scoring comes from spot-up shooting, so good strategy to make him shoot..

-Unforced turnovers..they've done a good job limiting these, unlike last game..

-Jefferson and/or Hill showing up..RJ has showed up in a big way..

-One of the limo guys showing up..Bonner has played decent ball, I can live with what he's done..

Now hopefully the Spurs can keep this up and avoid foul trouble as well..Spurs obviously go through massive droughts and the Mavs are an explosive team, so that will be interesting..

Hopefully Pop continues to stick with McDyess over Bonner for tonight, 'Dice is playing the most active ball he's played all season..hopefully very, very little of Mason as well..

Hill looks good defensively IMO, but he's still very passive offensively..one play in particular where he beat his defender and decided to take a step-back J instead of driving the baseline..very telling IMO, he usually goes strong to the basket..

Hopefully the Spurs can sustain and avoid a large drought..

He just doesn't seem to be as aggressive on either end of the floor like we're used to seeing. Better he get as healthy as possible than to keep playing on the ankle with no results imo.

I would add that limited minutes from Mason and Bogans has helped.

Pop let the Dog out and I think he got the message, outstanding halftime numbers.
Good to see he can take it and respond.

Dirk will obviously attack more in the 2nd half, Spurs have the lead and are in control. They smell blood and know that going back to SA tied 1-1 is HUGE!. I don't expect a letdown in the 2nd half.

Can't have any turnover-fueled runs by the Mavs. If the Spurs give away 6-8 points, it'll be tough to hold on and win.

    Attack. Smart. Win.
