getting used to pain and discomfort
That's all well and good, and I feel sorry for him having to deal with pain, but right now we need people who aren't sucking ass.

Tony is going to be given the reigns to this game, at least, if the Spurs want any shot at winning.

Parker is consistently solid. He's rarely streaky. He's either consistently good, or rarely phenomenal.

With Ginobili, he's either extremely phenomenal, or extremely awful. There is no middle ground with Ginobili, it seems.

    manu last 2.5 games

    10-35

    manu being manu
You don't think it has anything to do with the contraption on his nose? pathetic take. Manu has to get used to shooting and playing with that plastic on his face.

I want to see you do better.

a 7 pts mav lead isn't a bad performance, I'm happy we are under 10 tbh. If Manu and RJ step up I like our chances

Nice finish. Props to Najera for helping us cut the lead to 7.

Tony didn't start off particularly well, but I liked his compe iveness and intensity offensively.

Najera, Barea and Terry started trying to get "Dallas physical" and Tony decided to really do his best Manu jr.

The Mavs should be destroying the Spurs, instead it's 7; missed free throws, sloppy play and some blown gimmes. You could feel the anxiety and subdued nature of the crowd from the start of the game and since the Spurs managed to get back into it ... those feelings should only increase and help to tighten up those Mavs sphincters.

This game's winnable ... if they bring it in the second half. I suggest they do so -- the Spurs should know full well how a 3-1 deficit can turn into a Game 7 with this team.

As sketchy as we played for most of the first half, we're only down 7 at the half. I still like our chances in this game.

Sucks that Blair picked up 4 fouls. Pop really set him up to fail out there.
That was definitely on Pop....it seemed he was intent on maximizing the rest of the Tim/Dice even though he had an opportunity to take Djuan out directly after the 3rd foul. We will have to get energy plays from someone else in the 3rd (RJ?) because Djaun won't be there this time around.

I'm all for seeing Ian go out there and delivering a couple flagrants
This the time when the Spurs could use the enforcer, Kevin Willis.

Yep, I think the Mavs might fold like a cheap tent if the Spurs come out strong in the third quarter.

It was really stupid to leave Blair in there for his 4th foul. It only means more Bonner in the 2nd half.

Still winnable... Can't beleive Najera is able to play this game. Who gets a flagrant while trying to take a charge. Gotta beleive Carlisle has sent him in there to mix it up.
I think Najera is doing a good job. He's doing what he's told to do.

Spurs gotta play through that and forget about it.

    good post

The mavs made some really bad TOs in particular Dirk and they are nervous. IMO if we can take a lead in the midle of the second half, the mavs could implode. This game is definitely winnable

meh, plenty of players have had to play with facegear over the years, it's not an excuse, if he is unable to make shots with that little thing on, then get him out of the game

Manu with a ty game so far. This nose story is bothering him a lot.

Mavs have a huge choke potential we need to kill them tonite.

Tp without fear go inside and show his huge balls to cut the mav lead under 10.

If Manu can come back strong in the second half I like our chances
TP really playing like a MAN tonight. Great effort Tony.

    Spurs escaped the 1st half.

I don't think the Mavs have the guts to withstand and overcome a strong Spurs 3rd qtr.

They know down deep they series is very probably over.
