travel? they are the premier night game?
I mean I know kobe could mouth a huge but god damn.
travel? they are the premier night game?
They're old, and the league knows it. They get another two day rest if the series extends to seven.
Because of schedules. The Staples Center is used for other things such as the Kings being in the NHL playoffs until last night. We actully have a lot more going on here other than a basketball team and a pukey green river.
I dont know why they have it this way, but I do believe the Lakers are the only team over the first 4 games that didnt have more then 1 day off between the games which was odd and obviously served no advantage. Now they are just getting the two day'ers that other teams got. And I believe some teams even got 3 days in between which Lakers wont get. Regardless this is how it worked out the schedule was set before they played a game if Lakers would have taken care of business they wouldnt have had more then a day between any of the games.
Pretty much trying to make something out of nothing.
The league must have it out for OKC. Only explanation.
Are u ing stupid. Most other series have had 2 days in between at least one of the games
Yup, re ed topic. It's all about scheduling for tv and it looks like the East teams have it easiest.
Suns/Blazers haven't had more than a day off all series(I think)
Spurs/Mavs had two days off between games 1 and 2. Jazz/Nuggets had two days off between games 2 and 3. Lakers/Thunder had two days off between games 4 and 5.
Magic/Bobcats had two days off between games 1 and 2 and games 2 and 3.
Cavs/Bulls had two days off between games 2 and 3 and games 3 and 4.
Celtics/Heat had two days off between games 1 and 2 and games 2 and 3.
Hawks/Bucks had two days off between games 1 and 2 and three days off between games 2 and 3.
Whats funny is that everyone basically agrees that the Lakers have more 2 days rest in round 1 than any other team in the West.
Like I knew kobe could deep throat a nasty one but this is a whole nother level.
(blink blink)
Hmmm... 2 days more rest in round 1 than any other team... yes, the logic behind that statement is airtight.
Ladies and gentlemen, I give you... Can't Be Faded.
Umm... don't the Thunder get the same amount of rest since they are playing the Lakers?
I could easily start a thread led "Why do the Thunder get 2 days rest between games 4 and 5?"
I actually think the Thunder have expended alot of energy. Both of those teams could use the extra rest IMO. I don't think it is an advantage just for the Lakers. It is for both teams. Take off your conspiracy glasses please and see things for what they really are.
Yeah ya'll have an overwhelming number of respiratory illnesses due to your ty air. I'd rather have a river walk than smokey haze 24/7.
Bump!!!
The bigger question should be, Why the heck do the spurs get three days rest before game 1.
I was thinking the same thing last night and then I think I figured out why. The Spurs and Suns closed out their series' on Thursday and they don't start their series till Monday, therefore having them play every other day. The Lakers and Jazz just closed out their series' last night, but yet have to start tomorrow afternoon...which is then why they get a little more rest between some games than the Spurs-Suns series.
It's never bothered me... but then again, I am at the beach.![]()
lakers start on sun which does suck but after game 2 on tuesday, they dont play again till saturday
Kobe laid his elbows on the ground, arched his ass into the air, and put up a sign that said open for business.
that was pretty descriptive, done it before?
