At least Pop understood that Hill is useless against Nash, TP at least is following him

This is not the previous series, but the Spurs are playing like it still is. This time they are the ones flopping all over the place and then whining about the refs when they actually shot double the free throws of the home team who has played more aggressively.

Suns are smart: when they had a size advantage with Hill in the post they exploited it....something the Spurs need to think about with Nash to try and start wearing him down. More TP is the 2nd half too.

How can people say Spurs aren't playing that bad when they're shooting a measly 42% from the field.

Parker needs to go ape in the second half.

This smells like one of those games where Pop throws in the towel early. Our lack of effort has been glaring. If we come out that way in the second half Pop will just pack it in.
Agreed...a few Nash to Stoudamire pick and roll dunks to start the 2nd half will have Pop clearing the bench. I don't see this series going past 5 games if the Spurs can't defend the paint and rebound better than this.

Its weird to see Timmy playing like this in the playoffs.
That disturbs me more than everything else put together. He looks like a deer in the headlights at the FT line, and he doesn't look like he wants to take the shot from the floor. Maybe his knee is more of a problem than we know. They wouldn't say anything if he's just hurting.

I don't see why people are ing about foul calls...7th seeds don't get calls for a reason. This is why HCA is so important, especially after the first round. We got lucky Dallas melted down despite all the calls they got...we won't be so lucky this time.
Foul calls have nothing to do with your seed and everything to do with not being aggressive.

    Duncan is giving is n-o-t-h-i-n-g

I know he had some bad stretches against the Mavs but against this team that is doubling him he should be doing better.

And I get so mad that he is missing his free throws this much. It's making him look like a huge mental pussy. And I hate that. Even if his knees are hurting it shouldn't affect his free throws this much. We need those freakin points. And it's obvious the Suns are going to foul Duncan hard.
he is getting doubled immediately when touching the ball. he does need to be more selective and wait to make the right pass..

and if indeed those knees are hurting him like you say then that could affect free throws dramatically... although i don't think that's the issue.

I wouldn't mind it either compared to Bonner when Dice isn't on the floor.

Actually, the Spurs are playing more aggressive. Just can't make those cheap shots/free throws.

With Tim's bad play and missing lots of FTs, is it just a problem of fatigue or his knees are hurting too much?

I still hope that he'll get his together and that we can make a run in the 2nd half but i've never seen Duncan playing that bad in a stretch of games that long.

I'm ready for TP to start. Makes too much sense on both ends of the court. TP is pretty good against Nash and Nash has no chance to defend TP.

Hill is a fish out of water when trying to defend Nash.

It sucks that the Spurs have to match the size of Richardson, Hill and Dudley by using the undersized George Hill and Roger "worst defender in the NBA" Mason..

i thought hill got more physical on nash after being called out by pop but if that doesn't work out i, guess TP/manu needs to be on nash more...

duncan was horrible in the 2nd quarter, he needs to sit if hes hurting...
