0 teams have won a best of 7 after being down 3-0. It's over. Suns took you guys, give it up.
Oh really! It could be the Spurs being the first team win the best of 7 after being down 3-0 so until the fat lady sings I will still support this team even though I am angry at the lack of effort tonight! Go Spurs Go!

The NBA is all about match ups. Defensivily we always matched up well with the Suns, this year they caught up this team has a different mind set, and that's what Gentry has brought to the table for these guys. Plus they have a ton of talent and in this series they executed to perfection. These guys ran the same things they've been doing all year.

He is an average player. He is better than Dragic at this point in their careers.
You say that now, but during the season TimVp praised him too and wondered if he isn't already better than Hill. That was before Parker got injured though. In any case Hill played a lot more minutes in his career than Dragic. This is also the first playoff experience for Dragic.

The big3 was the only key of these series

Suns are good but I refuse to believe that TONY, MANU and TIM would have allowed this. I know they're old, but they're not at AARP level either. Dice was hot, Manu was hot, Bonner was hot yet you get this result. I am going to say it again.....The Spurs were built for better. THEY should be the ones at the WCF's
I don't know what to say. I really do think the Spurs are the ones to blame that gave the Suns this confidence. If you read my post just before this I am not convinced at all Phoenix is any tougher than before. They're going to have to prove me wrong.

I love tough teams that are strong mentally so I think I will go for the Lakers next round. I am absolutely disgusted with the Spurs pathetic play and mental tougness this series. I am also pissed at Pop for playing losers like Bonner, Bogans and Roger Mason Jr all season. Malik Hairston earned court time with his all out hard work and effort in the off season and was possibly a better player than Dragic at one point. Pop never gave him a chance and this is what you get. ING IDIOT POP. Anyway I'm on the wagon, but not before the Spurs are off. I'm still going for it. Spurs can be the first team in NBA history to come back from 0-3. Take it one game at a time.

btw Imagine Dirk signing with his good buddy Steve Nash though. LOL then I might be convinced.

Spurs just wanted to mix it up for us fans. Instead of getting knocked out of the playoffs by the Mavs or Lakers, it's the Suns this year. Viva la difference!

So we lost because Dragic is better than Hill.

I would not say Hill is a lot better, but he is clearly better. Who cares if Timvp praised him? I am not bashing Dragic. He played amazing. I am saying be realistic. Games like this always get overblown.

If it continues, sure. But for now, you cant reasonably expect that.

This was the first time I've seen the SPurs actually trying to win a game and getting thoroughly outplayed - i don't remember a debacle of this magnitude with the full team on the court - this was a debacle my friends

Oh sure, I don't disagree with that. He's just a 2nd year player and hasn't played much in his first year.

One game at a time Ice, one game at a time. Your team has championship pedigree (I've been hearing that cliche for a while now) and I still can't believe they lost to the Suns. Suns deserved the win but the intensity from the Spurs was just not there. They lost to the Suns bench. THE BENCH. That has everything to do with mentalities, not talent.

Dragic, Suns bench eclipse San Antonio

The Phoenix Suns would be thrilled to finally beat the Spurs in the playoffs by any margin.

But a sweep? That would be especially sweet.

Phoenix is one win away from ending years of playoff misery against San Antonio, taking a 3-0 lead in the Western Conference semifinals with a 110-96 victory Friday night, putting the Spurs in a historically irreparable hole.

"I think it's safe to say that may have been the best fourth-quarter performance I have ever seen in a playoff game," Suns forward Grant Hill said.

He wasn't talking about the team.

He was just talking about Goran Dragic.

The backup point guard scored 23 of his 26 points in a brilliant fourth quarter, rendering Steve Nash unneeded until the final 3 minutes. Amare Stoudemire? He never even took off his warmups in the fourth quarter.

Dragic hit nine of 11 shots in the fourth, including all four 3-point attempts.

After his last one with 5.7 seconds left, the Suns impatiently waited for the final seconds to tick away before swarming Dragic. The Spurs shuffled away in a 3-0 deficit -- which no team in NBA history has ever come back from.

Stunned Spurs fans could still be overheard muttering "Goran Dragic? Goran Dragic?" long after most of the AT&T Center emptied. It was about that time that Suns coach Alvin Gentry, having finished his postgame news conference, walked back across the court.

    Goran Dragic?

"He's my secret weapon," Gentry said while breezing past the scorer's table, smiling wide. "I don't know where he came from, either."

Dragic said he's been there all along. He was apparently disguised under the 7.9 points he averaged during the regular season, and his 5.6 scoring average in the playoffs entering Game 3.

"During halftime I was talking with Coach Gentry and he told me I have to be more aggressive and drive the lane," said Dragic, playing in his first career postseason. "When I came back on the court I just did what he told me."

The Spurs have put Phoenix through a decade of postseason misery, ousting the Suns from the playoffs four consecutive times since 2003. Another win finally ends all that.

Game 4 is Sunday night in San Antonio.

"Everything we tried, it was a bucket and it was demoralizing," Spurs guard Manu Ginobili said. "We're going to have to have a perfect game."

Ginobili led the Spurs with 27 points while welcoming Tony Parker back to the starting lineup, but it was a move that didn't work out as the Spurs planned.

Parker had come off the bench since returning from a broken right hand last month, and finally reclaimed his starting role from George Hill with the hopes of rescuing this series.

Hill had started 46 consecutive games since January but has struggled against Phoenix. Spurs coach Gregg Popovich said it was just a matter of time until Parker -- who had started every playoff game since 2002 for the Spurs before this postseason -- would get his job back.

But it wasn't exactly a triumphant return. Parker averaged 23 as a reserve in Games 1 and 2 but didn't provide the same jolt while reclaiming his starting job. He scored 10 points on 5-of-17 shooting.

Parker got an X-ray on his shoulder after the game, but the results weren't immediately known.

The Spurs blew a big lead for the second straight game. The Suns trailed 39-21 early in the second quarter while missing 13 of their first 21 shots, putting Phoenix in the biggest hole it faced thus far in the playoffs.

But like the other deficits, this one didn't last.

"Definitely an opportunity wasted," said Spurs forward Tim Duncan, who had 15 points and 13 rebounds.

Dragic's layup on the second Phoenix possession of the fourth quarter put the Suns ahead 73-72, their first lead of the game. Phoenix outscored San Antonio 39-24 in the fourth quarter and shot 71 percent from the field.

Jason Richardson had 21 points and Hill added 18 for the Suns.

    Game notes
Duncan's dreadful free throw shooting continues. He was 5 of 12. ... The Suns have trailed by double figures three times in the playoffs and have come back to win every time.

Goran just really has not had as many opportunities in the NBA. On the international stage, though, everyone knows what a good defender he has been, especially against Parker. He really is not a good shooter, though. That is the most surprising part. His shot is the worst part of his game. He made it to the NBA because of his defense and his ability to run an offense, but he has had to work hard to improve his shot. I contend he is a better defender than Hill.

I cant remember the last time i saw a choke like this! how the can you be up 18 and lose by double digits in the playoffs in what is one of the most important games of the year? I don't say it was just one person. it was the whole team and Coach. The thing that bothers me most as a fan is i know The Suns are NOT a better team. the spurs missed tons of free throws and made crucial mistakes in rotation. But it is what it is. Best of luck coming back from 0-3, but in reality enjoy your offseason and get healthy. Of course I will still hang on to hope they can come back but we all know....

Those FT's are going to haunt the Spurs organization more than anything else this summer. It only got worse as the playoffs went on and was a sign of mental inep ude that spread down to the mechanics.
