If we had done nothing, unemployment would be at 9%. But, we did and, now, we have 10%

Consumer confidence cratered when the Lehman was allowed to disappear, (world-wide) credit markets froze up, the stock market cratered, housing bubble burst. All happened before Obama was even elected.
