The honored him this year but not trading his expiring contract to a non-contender when they easily could have.
How will the Lakers honor him when he finally retires? He has helped the Lakers win 4 rings and make 2 other Finals appearances. He has hit clutch shot after clutch shot, including the .4 shot, the most heartbreaking shot in Spurs history.
I doubt he gets his number retired. I do not know if the Lakers have a ring of honor. He most likely will not be going to the HOF.
So how will the Lakers honor him?

he will be given a FO job with the lakers when he retires. as far as anything you mentioned....not a chance in
Fisher is vital to the Lakers postseason success....they would be foolish to let him go again. His leadership, toughness, tenacity, and clutchness cannot be duplicated, especially by Farmar, the Machine, or Morrison.
It wasn't so many weeks ago that Laker fans here wanted his useless ass out of LA.
Good piece on Fisher. Nice to hear his daughter is doing well.
Fisher returns to Utah to haunt Jazz fans

Fisher is in Horry mode now.....he is a waste of time during the regular season, but in the postseason he is downright ruthless
The Lakers only retire the numbers of Hall Of Famers. Fisher is not even close to getting there. They will certainly have a retirement ceremony at his last home game if he retires as a Lakers player but that's it.
His daughter should get a shout out too. Without that eyed eye he'd be in SLC, we'd be stuck on 14 and I'd a never come here in the first place.
Just shows to go ya.
