I enjoy Taylor and JB's non-sports bits, but Sports Talk San Antonio is basicaly "Sports Talk Cowboys and San Antonio from a MetroPlex perspective"...its not a local show.

if so many people hate the guy then why are their ratings at like an all time high for Sports talk radio in SA?

as a cowboys fan the cowboys talk doesnt bother me...and the guy is smart because this town is FULL of cowboys fans. I would venture there is more excitement over the cowboys in this town than the Spurs (as sad as that is for the hometown team). SA is the biggest Cowboys market outside the metroplex. and its not like he doesn't talk a ton of Spurs and other topics as well. I never get all the bashing of the guy on here. you cant talk Spurs 24/7 and keep people listening in this town. it doesn't work

and just because the guy is one of the few non spurs homers to go on air here in SA and actually predict them to lose at times doesnt make him bad. It was pretty clear though he wanted them to win and go as far as possible.

i listen to STSA daily. huge supporter/daily text messager. Taylor's take are 98% good, unique, provoking takes. and that's why i continue to listen.

he's a huge Cowboys fan, which I am too, so that's ok with me. my only thing against him is that it's not a secret that he's a Mavs honker and his only reason for not stating so is because the Spurs pay his bills (gives him something to talk about). he's said so on air and that rubs me the wrong way a bit. well that and his CURSE (never predicts correctly/especially if he picks the Spurs).

nevertheless, his takes on the Spurs are still provoking. and that's what truly counts.

ESPN the Zone would be ok if only they would get rid of Jason Minnix and Chris Duel. They're gross! They see an attractive women and they start moaning and slobbering over the airwaves. Man, I don't want to hear that! Jason talks like he has a cold all the time and Chris shouts too damn much. They go off subject way too much.

And it's not him being smart. It's Clear Channel that knows it's demographic and brought in a guy they thought could be an insider for Cowboys info. I'm sure one of their selling point to bring him down here was, "You can talk endless about the Cowboys here cause people will eat it up".
