I agree, this game is pretty much it.
Winner of this game takes the series. It is going to be hard as to get another win at the Q. If the Celts want to have any real shot, Pierce has got to get going.
I agree, this game is pretty much it.
Boston actually plays better on the road than at home imo.
We will see if that is proven yet again tonight.
I'd like to see Pierce get it together. Celts need better production out of him. Rondo has been amazing, but Boston can't be relying on him to have a game 4 type of performance to get the win.
I will never again utter these words after this series, but good luck to Boston.
Pierce has been surprisingly invisible this whole series.
Is LeBron's defense that good or is there something wrong with Pierce?
As good of a defender as Bron is, Pierce isn't a guy you can just shut down. I am trying to figure it out. Is it injuries, a massive decline, or is it just mental.
Referees for Game 5...
Boston @ Cleveland: Joe Crawford, Marc Davis, Greg Willard
Oh, goody...our pal Joey...this should be an "interesting" game!
Who is the got Celtics fan who conceded defeat before the playoffs started, and started bandwagoning the Cavs? Is that you, Bostonguy? Or a different guy?
Someone should make a poll about how many free throws lebron shoots tonight. 10+, 20+...
Pierce is just getting old IMO, he will still go crazy on any given night but not so often.
I still don't think we are going to win this series. I hope I am wrong though. And my bandwagoning the Cavs will resume in the next round if they do indeed win this series. I can't and won't root for them this series. Celts fan first and always despite how much of low expectations I have. I bandwagoned your beloved Lakers last year once Boston went fishing. Cavs are my backup team if the same happens again this year.
I thought it was injury myself, too early for that much of a decline.
If Lebron switches to Rondo tonight, let's see if Pierce steps up.
Old he is. He is 32 and will be 33 in October. Thing is he just didn't rapidly decline to the level of a role player. I know he is better than this. Maybe not 2008 level, but better than he has been this entire series.
Luva if you are right, I will bow down to you. I will change my le to "Lakaluva witness". Save this quote luva. I'll ing do it.
Oh hi Ghazi. What's up?
If you are right, I put that as my le for the rest of the postseason. If you are wrong, nothing. It is a win/win for you.
$300 bucks that the Celts don't make it out of the east. Yeah cheap cash, but I have 3 grand tied into the Cavs winning it all and 2 grand in Lebron resigning with the Cavs.
Maybe. I don't think this game is pivotal at all. Game 2 was, game 4 became one, but not this one. I can perfectly see any of the teams winning 6&7.
Pierce is dealing with some injuries + he has dealt with stamina issues all season. He isn't a go-to scorer anymore, not prolific enough as a scorer. Still a very good scorer, but defending LeBron + foul trouble + Rondo and Garnett running the offence + being defended by LeBron are all factors that are making him invisible on the offensive end. Personally I think his priority should remain defending James.
yep...I got cash on these Boston es.... I want Bron but I want revenge even more......
