You are overstating here. Let's look at the facts:

12 seasons missed playoffs.
19 first round playoff losses. I suspect this may be an NBA record.
3 losses in the 2nd round: 1978, 1983, 1985.
2 finals losses: Pistons 1990, Bulls 1992.
3 losses WCF, Lakers 1991. Bulls champions. Spurs 1999, Spurs champion, Lakers 2000.

I think the only le the Lakers cost you was in 2000. Stern didn't make the Blazers miss shots in the 4th quarter or the Lakers make shots. Your team just choked. Exorcise your demons and just admit it.

With luck, Portland has 2 NBA les, 1977 and 2000. Be thankful for the one you do have.
