    Ok, I know it'll never happen, but if Lebron said he wants the MLE and that he wants to go to the Lakers, could the NBA "ban" that request?

    Let's say he does go, they obviously win the chip for the next 5-6 years, don't even bother arguing, but would Stern say anything about this?

    If I was Lebron I would do it for s and giggles.

    Trades need league approval, but free agent signings do not.

    So no, the league couldn't stop it. But as you pointed out, it would never happen.

    they cant ban it but the players association would be pissed, and probably try and change his mind
