all i know is, Frye and Dudley were absolutely on fire from 3-land in their first 2 series, especially against the spurs these 2 guys hit virtually ALL their 3-pointers.

they got basically the same looks against LA and went 1-9 or something like that.

    whottt?

I read the comments about how Phoenix had a lucky shooting streak as basically saying the Spurs were better and Phoenix just happened to shoot extremely well against them.
You as a non-re should know there's not such thing as luck in basketball. Unless you're talking about lucky bounces. And those are too rare to consider. Players get hot and cold. Guys like Frye are streaky and he happened to be hot in the Spurs series. Hence, the Suns were the better team. Would it have been a different series if Frye was missing threes against San Antonio? Who knows and who cares. It's in the past. Focus on the current series.

I wouldn't call it streaky, I'd call Frye a player who can be productive against mediocre or bad defenses and completely useless against good defenses. Just my opinion. Having guys like Frye playing key rotation minutes is why Phoenix is gonna lost to LA.

    heres some math for you

    Frye vs SA:

    gm 1: 50%
    gm 2: 83%
    gm 3: 60%

    gm 4: 29%

so thru the first 3 games Frye was hitting 67% (10-15) beyond the arc.
    series total 55%.

    Dudley hit 40% against SA.

now lets look at gm 1 vs LA; these same two men shot:

    Frye: 14% (1-7)
    Dudley: 20% (1-5)

so while they were hitting an average of 50% 3-pointers over the course of 4 games, with Frye hitting 67% 3-pointers thru the first 3 games, they shot 17% against LA.

    50% vs. 17%

thats what people are talking about

Suns are getting a lot of the same looks vs LA. Suns had confidence against the Spurs for once. There whole team was shooting with high confidence and a good rhythm. They took years of frustration out on the Spurs while the Spurs did the same exact thing against Dallas the series before... Exactly why LA will beat Phoenix.

Yup, this has nothing to do with Bonner guarding Frye instead of Odom, just ty luck. Only San Antonio would be unlucky enough to not get away with leaving Frye open.

You've done it. You can insult the Spurs, you can insult San Antonio.
But no one messes with the Red Rocket.

Bonner fans, send him back to Berli--- I mean, Phoenix!

    >_>
    <_<

Oh, wait. We have no Bonner fans here.
