Your first date ever? Or, first date with the girl? The initial conversation shouldn't be a deep one, but enough ephemeral material to at least hold interest. Especially if you two have the same interests--if you get too deep it could render the rest of the dating process boring and redundant. I would suggest be a good listener and try to ad lib your way through any future conversing. Patience, at least in the realm of conversation, is important. If it is your very first date, learning how to be impressive as a communicator will pay dividends for any future encounters.
