This thread is insane.
"best" games and "best" consoles are simply opinions
money talks, and the Wii made money from day one
This thread is insane.
From iPhone to Evo to Wii
My point is that to most real gamers, the product made by Nintendo isn't the gaming console to own anymore.
I have no doubt that the iPhone will outsell the Evo, but do you really want to make the argument that the phone that sells the most is the best? The public is full of uneducated idiots who will buy anything that's marketed right toward them. Total sales rarely reflect quality.
Insane reasoning.![]()
Different target markets, not to mention PS3/360 are both trying to mimic/copy Nintendo as we speak in regards to motion game play.
I prefer the PS3, but I'm just saying.
Of course, consumers are usually sheep and it's not a good way to tell, but it's the only number we can really put on as far as "best" since that word is purely opinion.I have no doubt that the iPhone will outsell the Evo, but do you really want to make the argument that the phone that sells the most is the best? The public is full of uneducated idiots who will buy anything that's marketed right toward them. Total sales rarely reflect quality.
You can have your Evo, I'll take the iPhone 4. It's upsetting we can't "Face Time" each other though, isn't it Cry Havoc?
imagine no possessions...it's easy if you try.

Well, I got about a year before I can upgrade again and I doubt they'll have 4g here even before then so I guess I'm not missing much.

Iphones are pretty awesome, but I just cant get used to typing on touchscreens, I find it very annoying, I just want a qwerty keyboard with buttons.
From what I've heard AT&T has already moved peoples dates up on alot of people that have Iphones so they can upgrade to the new Iphone.
Suggest everyone check for themselves *679# send
If you have an upgrade available this year at any time, you can get a subsidized iPhone 4 with a renewed contract.
I can't wait to see this phone reviewed to see how magazines stack it up against the Evo, though a lot of them are based on hype. Undoubtedly some of them will be unbiased though. The ones who say it's clearly a win for either phone are probably going to be bunk.
Specs go to iPhone 4. Hands down. Besides 4G which will come in time like all phones that have caught up to the iPhone. Ahem. But then you could argue that it's not apple's responsibility to establish a 4G infrastructure.
Besides, you know,
4G (which is enough to win the fight by itself if you're in a 4G area, which many will be by the end of 2010)
4.3" display (vs. 3.5", which is a huge difference, sorry to tell you)
Tethering support for up to 8 devices simultaneously
Camera megapixel density
Expandable memory
FM Radio
Kickstand
Dual LED flash
The ability to have video chats over 3G/4G/Wifi (vs. Wifi ONLY and ONLY to other iPhones).
And the integrated HDMI out
The iPhone has
a better processor
higher pixel density,
is slightly thinner and lighter
and a better app store (although that's changing rapidly).
Yeah, it's hands down for the iPhone.![]()
Kickstand AND an FM radio?!?!

I'm using my kickstand right now. It's nice to have. Especially when I want to videoconference with someone. I don't know about you, but I wouldn't exactly want my Facetime to look like it was filmed during The Blair Witch Project.
If they're not big deals at all, why isn't Apple including them in the iPhone? It's 2010, and there's yet to be an Apple phone that can receive an FM signal? Kind of hilarious.![]()
I honestly listen to FM radio once a week, if even that, for the 2 hour reggae show on local co-op radio on Sundays at noon. I listen to AM sports talk radio or my iPod, and that's it. I would actually rather have an AM radio feature than an FM one.
The iPhone doesn't have a kickstand?![]()

And who listens to fm radio these days?
Oh
I'm just saying, if we're listing the features, then it's one that the Evo has and the iPhone doesn't. Many people probably won't care. Some will. I'm listening to the radio at work right now through my Evo now, actually.
If Apple didn't include it, I don't want it! I enjoy being told what to want so I know what to buy! Sheeple consumerism FTW!
Interesting that you're critical, considering that many reviews have highlighted the kickstand as a handy feature to have in a phone. But of course, it's not endorsed or used by Apple, so it's something you're going to shun and look down at. So typical.![]()
FM on a phone seems completely ridiculous to me. Is there a cassette player attachment too? Maybe a Portable CD player?
A 3.5mm headphone jack has been around for decades too... why not mock that? Apple has included FM Tuners in their other devices... so it's obviously something they consider worth having, but when it's not on their phone, it's something to be scoffed at?
I never said it was cool. Ever. FM radio sucks.
3.5mm jack? Uhh.. that's like saying TVs have speakers so don't mock them. Random argument. Anyways..
But I guess with none of that on board memory on that there Evo, you might not have any music to listen to.
I like it. Some stations are still good. Opinions are fun, eh? Apple obviously agrees, as they've included it in many of their products.
Your argument was that FM radio is old, so by that reasoning it has no place in today's tech. And yet many standards for entertainment haven't changed since the 60s.3.5mm jack? Uhh.. that's like saying TVs have speakers so don't mock them. Random argument. Anyways..
Yeah, that 8 GB swappable SD card that's included with the EVO sure doesn't store any music. But I guess with none of that on board memory on that there Evo, you might not have any music to listen to.I guess it sucks that I can buy (but am not limited to) 72 GB of memory for the same price you'd pay for 32 GB in the iPhone.
