While I have no interest in being lumped in with the OP, I do get frustrated at the excessive coverage by the media of individual cases- usually of rich white girls- while tons of other women are missing, raped, or murdered all over the country.
I was flipping through the channels yesterday or the day before and Oprah was talking about Elizabeth Smart. She was kidnapped in 2002 and found in 2003, and yet this is still a pressing story to talk to the kids of the woman involved in the case?
I'm not even reading the rest of the thread. It's sad and all or whatever, but , you play with fire...
