Spanish Liga, Italian Calcio and Bundesliga are all superior to English League

That's right, Bundesliga; less hyped, but higher level
I don't know. If you want to have fun watching the "beautiful game" La Liga is the best....then the Premier League then the Dutch league, then Bundesliga then French league. Italian league to me is a step down in terms of enjoying the game....best defensive league for sure.

Other than that, would love to get into Soccer and start following it. Its great stuff.
it's the best sport on earth - just turn on fox soccer channel anytime one of the big leagues has a game on.

Champions league and the Euros are also top notch tourny's to tune into

Seriously, alot of the problem alot of americans have is there are like a bazillion leagues out there, and for those of us trying to get into it and follow it, we don't know anything.

I only know of the English premier league, and the Spanish league I believe.

Other than that, would love to get into Soccer and start following it. Its great stuff.
Spanish League = LA Lakers; Flair, great players, champions, mix of D
Italian League = Spurs (Championship spurs ); best defensive league, always contenders
Bundesliga = Mavericks; up and down but can peak if they're on fire
Dutch League = Golden State Warriors; great flow and possession but not quite up there with the elite
French League = Orlando Magic; always a threat

My best assessment....could be dead wrong

    ENG US
    8(3) Shots (on Goal) 7(3)
    6 Fouls 4
    4 Corner Kicks 3
    2 Offsides 2
    50% Time of Possession 50%
    1 Yellow Cards 1
    0 Red Cards 0
    2 Saves 2

Not exactly an embarrassing performance thus far by the yanks. Can't believe possession is 50/50. Huge coup for the US

Hm, hard to say. I've always liked England, and since '92, I've never been a fan of the German team. They also played pretty atrocious football up to '06.

Anyway, England's performance was really poor after their early goal. I hope Capello tore them a new one and they are able to respond.

If the Spanish league is so crappy why didn't a middle of the table team of another league won that tournament? Remember that Atletico beat Liverpool (a supossed English powerhouse) in that tourney.

I think the best way is to pick a team you like and then follow them in whatever compe ions they play and root for them. It's much more fun if you have a "stake" in the game.

On a side note: the USA jerseys look kinda... scotish.

No way. The Premiereship may have issues with goalkeeping, but it's still the best league in the world.
