please god no !
Currently, Kaka is with Real Madrid, Danny Alves is with Barcelona, and Luis Fabiano is with Sevilla.
Ronaldinho used to be with Barcelona but was transfered to AC Milan because he loved the ladies to much.![]()
please god no !
Nonsense.
As if you could make it to the national team without being an exceptional athlete or incredible foot speed.
And its going to happen (basketball taking over). It is inevitable.
Lets put it this way: Basketball has a MUCH better chance of replacing soccer in the world than soccer has a chance of gaining any popularity in the US.
Like I said, weve been exposed to soccer for hundreds of years. We just realized it was lame before everyone did.
English Goalkeepers...
So ing funny these guys.
that's one of the things i don't like when i go to the us, ads in movies, show, sports. 1 ad maybe but more is too much.
Check out this goal from Dempsey. It was voted Fulham's goal of the season.
WTF?
Lets compare soccer and baseball for a sec. The freaking highlight of that USA/England match was what you would call an error on a routine ground ball in baseball.
Thats it. THATS what you missed.
So true...![]()
You will find alot of fans who don't actually follow club soccer, but yet get right into the world cup.
I don't follow soccer, but come world cup time i am glued to the TV.
in soccer, players are real athletes. You can be a fatass and play baseballl. That's not a real sport
I didnt say that it is. I said it will be. Manybe not in England. But just check out China. Check out the NBA is that is becoming half filled with international players these days.
Basketball has exploded around the globe as its been exposed more and more.
Thats so awesome. Dempsey seems like a budding star. Did they say he came off the bench? Is he not considered a great player?
Steve Nash hates you because you hate soccer.
Ok, lemme put it this way. Any other sport has as much a chance of catching football in the next 10 generations as I do of surviving those 10 generations
do they run about 7 miles a game?
Their was a piece on him recently on E60 or something like that. Apparently as a kid his parents were driving him 3 hours each way to Dallas to play select soccer against better comp but stopped to fund his older sister's promising tennis career. Then his sister died and he got back into playing soccer in the better leagues and used it as a way to cope with the tragedy, as did his parents too. Pretty interesting stuff, and he and Donovan are definitely the catalysts for the American attack. If they can convert chances the US team is dangerous. Even more so if Altidore can convert rushes like the one that went off post today.
Again, you assume its an exposure thing when thats total nonsense.
Ask most Americans what the first sport the remembering playing in an organized fashion and theyll probably say "soccer".
No sport will EVER catch Soccer. Geez some people are dumb.
I called the 1-1 draw. Bradley played for it so much in the 2nd half though, and that was really disappointing. The game really needed some Hercules Gomez early in that 2nd half but Jozy nearly made all of England cry.
Pretty good game. I'm happy with the result.
Called the draw as well Manny.
That shot that went off the pipes in the second was what if big time...
Content with the draw, let's move on.
I am really regretting right now not following through on plans to go to the World Cup this year. Gonna have to make it happen for 2014.
In past years in the US they used to cut out of soccr games while the game was going on for commercials. ABC isn't doing that this time.
Yeah with Jeremy Schapp.
I'd only heard of Dempsey back in May cause Mike Taylor talked about him on STSA representing Texas and the US so I've had that name along with Bocanegra Donovon and Howard.
you USA, you USA , you USA
Because of you, England is pissed, and they wii play 200% hard against Algeria.
you
It is even. The gift goal and the shot off the bar equal out. The US was lucky to escape with the tie.
