Who do you think is the most overrated player in the NFL?

is it Urlacher? who many pundits say holds that le.

Is it Michael Vick who some people say is just nothin more than a tailback that occasionally throws the ball

Chad Pennington? who can't throw the deep ball?

Peyton Manning who holds records but not les?

    who is it???

From a SpursTalk Fantasy Football slightly homer-bent perspective, it's freakin' Andre Johnson.

People confuse him with Randy Moss when they should be confusing him with Jerry Porter.

Ray Lewis, watch him play, and count how many times he jumps on a pile and still gets the tackle. Dr. Z on SI wrote a great article about this.

Kurt Warner. I know that nobody really wants him anymore, but he has a starting job, so I call him overrated. He shouldn't even be a backup.

David Carr. Every year is his year and then when he sucks, he's going to be good once he puts it all together. Texans need to try drafting a new qb.

Vick is fun to watch, and thats why he gets all the publicity, so I guess hes overrated. Eli Manning in my opinion is way overrated, but maybe thats because hes in New York. Kellen Winslow jr, Keyshawn Johnson.

Bret Farve. Never seen someone get so much attention who consistently throws 4-5 ints in big playoff games.

    agree on Vick.

hes a quarterback who cant throw.

Horrible Passer rating, and horrible completion percentage, and hes got a great TE in Crumpler, and solid Wide outs.

    Vick wins it hands down.

Since when has a guaranteed 1300 yards and 10 tds been overrated?

Since when has a guaranteed 1300 yards and 10 tds been overrated?
Since any halfway decent back can get those stats in Denver thanks to their O-line.

I gotta agree with Dan here. Favre is one of the greatest QB's in the history of professional football.

Favre will pass Elway this season for 2nd most passing yards in NFL history. He's second to Dan Marino in most completions and TD passes.

He has 13 consecutive seasons (1992-2004) where he threw for over 3000 yards, including over 4000 last season. And his three consecutive MVP's in the mid to late 90's are a record too.

I don't really like the guy or his team too terribly much, but give credit where it's due.

The role players play the way they do because they have a qb that they trust. They love their qb, and that chemistry is what got them to where they are now.
