Spurs aren't going to waste 3 months on Splitter and miss out on the rest of the FA
Suppose the Spurs aren't completely convinced Splitter's worth the MLE for 5 years. Is El Baskonia pre-season tour against the on Oct. 14th Grizzlies followed by the Spurs on the 16th, a test to see if he's worth such a guaranteed contract?

Yes, we all know Tiago can make more money in Europe (as can second rate american basketball players and euro's who are NBA role players) but, we also know he BADLY wants to play in the NBA.
Scola or Millicic?

Why are there two of these threads?
When did second round picks become so rare that they are now declared "busts" ?
I believe Splitter has to opt out of his current contract in the next couple of weeks in order to move to the NBA (Someone please correct me if I'm wrong about this)...so if the Spurs have to wait until a pre-season game in October to make a decision about him, then that ship would have sailed quite a few months ago...
