    Lol, indeed.

What this tells me is that we're in the middle of what is possibly the weakest NBA era since the late 70s. The "all mighty" Lakers didn't beat one 60 win team enroute to their championship and needed the injury of a key opposing player to avoid losing to a 50 win team in the NBA Finals. Furthermore, there's too much parity in the West outside of the Lakers with a handful of mediocre teams that have no front line beating each other as they notch a "successful" 50 win season.

There's no drama or tension to the on court action in the NBA. In the West, you had the Lakers being fed easy matchups all playoffs, and in the East, the top two teams epically collapsed to a Celtics team, while good, would be at best a 2nd round team 5 or 10 years ago.

People intuitively know this, which is why they cared less about "Celtics vs. Lakers" and Kobe Bryant winning his 2nd ring, and preferred the drama of "The Decision" instead.

Ultimately, this event is good for the NBA. The NBA is now a two team league instead of the one and a half team league we had since Memphis colluded with Los Angeles and Boston pulled off a clever, albeit legit, trade with Minnesota.

No Bynum injury in 2008 and we're talking 4 peat right now...you can smart over that if you like...Perk played more games than an injured Bynum in 2010....but it's sad when your hopes hinged on one Kendrick Perkins....lol you're a loser indeed.

But Bynum being injured is the equivalent of Shaq missing a free throw. You know it's coming, and thus, really can't consider it an anomaly.

No one expected Perkins to get injured.

you're no intellectual that's for sure...do the math...Bynum injury in 08 Lakers make it in a tough west and lose in the finals. KG injury in 2009 Boston doesn't even make it...Bynum injured in 2009 Lakers win it all....2010 Bynum injured for most of the series Perk injured for one game and Lakers win...Bynum and Perk are no wash not comparable players since you previously compared Bynum and KG...

Learn to think before you reply to a heavy weight...ok numnuts...

Nah...weve never had a 100% bynum for the finals. There hasnt been a post season team yet thats had to face the Lakers at full force. We still bring in the

Also, didnt the NBA finals have the largest audience since 1998? So much for people not caring and being upstaged.

Jersey Shore gets huge ratings for a cable television show. Doesn't mean they care about it.

The Lakers/Celtics series got good ratings for the simple fact that there was nothing else on.

People are legitimately interested in this, kids are crying in the streets, jerseys are being burned, hands are being wringed until near skinless. This has been the NBA's most explosive drama bomb since Magic announced that he contracted the HIV virus from having sex with other men.
