Never argue with lord Morey.
Funny how Rockets fans made jokes about Cuban all the time and had their heads deep inside Moreys ass and now he does it Cuban style with overpaying little bit and partially/not guaranteed last years.
Tzztzztzz
Never argue with lord Morey.
Morey >>> Cuban, though I like how Cuban is willing to pay for anything. Props to Cuban for the partially guarantees also.
Agreed.
Though, I think the rumored trade is Ariza + Hill + Jeffries for Iguodala + Jason Smith. If we throw in one of the Knicks pick, I think the Rockets would want young talent from the Sixers (like Speights). But, I doubt a pick would be needed in the trade, since both teams would get what they need.
Brooks/Lowry
Martin/Budinger/Taylor
Iguodala/Battier
Scola/Patterson/Hayes
Yao/Miller/Andersen
WE (would be) STAAAAAAACKED son!
No different than what Van Gundy did but at least he isn't bringing in retirees like Charles Oakley.![]()
That would be an awesome trade! I would do it in a heartbeat
Of course, this is based off the amazing pickup of Brad Miller.
Morey >>> Cuban
Has Cuban ever put together the best lottery team of all time? Didn't think so!
And thanks to Evan Turner, it works for both teams. Philly doesn't want a ball handler at the 3 spot, so Ariza would fit in perfectly since he plays off the ball wall. On the other hand, Houston needs a ball handling wing player, since Kevin Martin plays off the ball. If Evan Turner is the real deal, they'd want the ball in his (and Jrue's) hands more often. Not to mention Philly takes back Ariza, who costs half as much as Iggy, and they'd like to shed some salary.
And the rumored deal came from someone from an insider with the Sixers organization, who's been right on trades in the past.
Of course Cuban is often too easy with the big bucks but thats better than Sterling/Sarver style.
But what he should really get more credit for seeing first the power of unguaranteed/partially guaranteed contracts.
Last year of Miller has 1 million.
So its 5/5/1, i say market value for a big men
I really wouldn't equate Sarver's cheapness with Sterling's cheapness, this off season has been anything but Sarver being cheap, it's more him being really in stupid.
This season made it even worse. Sarver had a good team but was too cheap for the last few bucks and sold all that nice picks and NOW he blow millions on average players...
What?! Hedo is a strong starting PF, tbh. Especially in the west.
Ariza has no use on Philly btw. Thadeus Young basically is Trevor Ariza with a higher ceiling.
Yeah exactly, he's stupid and clueless, not cheap. The Colangelos did the same thing from 1996-2004, they wouldn't go after elite players at all, they'd get rid of draft picks willy nilly to overpay average players.
Although I'm happy to have him, I agree.
Rocketfan your team sucks and they're gonna continue to suck

It's really cute how Rocket fans think that they have more than one future pick from the Knicks.
Everyone takes turns ting on Rocketfan. It's like a spurstalk past time.
Maaaan, you can't be serious. Okay, we only have the RIGHT to swap in 2011. That's basically having their pick if they pick above us (which all signs say they will). Yeah, I'll take a lottery pick (top 1 protected) over a pick in the 20s in 2011. The 2012 pick is top 5 protected, and if they get into the top 5 that year, it gets pushed back a year, for three years (if they keep getting in the top 5). Then, we just get two seconds. We actually own their 2012 pick though.
Is that better for you?
About as cute as Spur fans thinking Tiago Splinter is the missing piece to rekindling a dynasty. You see, we can all be re ed at times.![]()
What does this signing add to the Rockets' roster? Don't know how the Rockets team work, so yeah it's a legit question
Both teams were lottery teams last season.
The 2012 pick has value now. The right to exchange 2011 picks only has much value when it becomes apparent that New York will pick much higher in the 2011 draft than Houston. Until Yao proves to be healthy, that is far from a sure thing.
Splinter? Is that meant to be an insult or funny?
