Those are valid points.
The problem I see with making those points are two-fold:
You are asking people to not be offended by someone making purposely offensive statements. Some people can live with this. Others cannot. And still, honestly, some people just don't want to deal with it, they would rather not be trolled in any way and they just leave the forum, which as I stated earlier, can negatively impact the basketball discussion as more people decide they don't want to deal with it.
Secondly, if trolls were picking and choosing targets, it would be one thing. SpursTalk has always had it's share of trolls, and it just happens. However, lately they are absolutely impossible to ignore, because they cons ute so much of the NBA forum. It's not a question of being "butthurt", it's the simple fact that if I want to hear a bunch of idiots mocking/trolling stuff other people post on the internet, there's a board for that called 4chan.
Banning a few outstanding morans doesn't suddenly mean this place is a dictatorship.
