    What's this bogus about the Spurs not being a contender. The only 3 teams in the league that are contenders are the Spurs, Lakers, and HEat.

    Between LA and San Antonio I have to give the edge to the Spurs now that we signed Splitter. He's arguably better than Gasol already and can only get better from here on out. Nobody in the West really matters, any team other than LA we'd probably sweep.

    Now when we face the Heat, it would be close but i would give the edge to the Spurs. Our championship experience plus our knowledgable fan base would pull us through one last time for Timmy.

    I don't know there are some idiots in that Spur forum. Maybe not as bad as Mav fans try to make it sound, but when I went in there yesterday, there were a couple saying without irony that we could get Shaq or Dampier to be our 6th big. I didn't even bother to explain why that is re ed.
