Did they really not learn from baseball 16 yrs ago?

I completely quit watching baseball 16 years ago. The best I can say is that if I hear throught he grapevine that the Astros are going deep in the playoffs, I may start looking at scores, maybe catch half a game, but that is it. I want to be interested in baseball (to give me something to do between the end of basketball and beginning of football), but I think MLB has completely lost me.
That being said, it would be freakin moronic if the NFL did the same thing.
Won't happen. I can't see the NFL locking out players WHILE negotiating the next TV contracts. Kind of undermines your position. Neither side wants to jeapordize the value of those contracts.
Madden 12 won't allow it
Consider the 2011 season a scratch unless and until the owners and the league come clean with their complete financial data. How can the NFLPA bargain in good faith with the league if the league and owners refuse to reveal exactly how much money they rake in every year? It's ridiculous. The owners want to continue to retain their massive profits but not pay the product, in this case the players, what they should. It's pure greed on behalf of the owners especially when it is the players on the field that make it possible for them to take in so much money to begin with.
If this sounds very pro-labor it's because I am very much pro-labor. Management has been screwing labor since the gilded age in this country and way before that too.
