Portland, if Roy can evolve upward. Otherwise, they're listless.

OKC, they're in for a rude awakening.

I'm like Amare, I aint giving the Blazers no hype. Team is never healthy, E-V-E-R, so why even get your hopes up that Mr. Glass aka Greg "handstand" Oden can stay healthy for a full season?

I think Portland is going to remain healthy and take it this year. Denver seems to be slipping, Minnesota is Minnesota, Utah has some chemistry issues that will slow them down just long enough to fall behind, and OKC is horribly overated and will take more lumps than they did last season.

Here we go again, Portland gets overrated every year then it's the same story that they couldn't stay healthy and wait till next year. I'm pickin either Utah,Denver or Okc before I even think about Portland.

Really? The chemistry issue is now in Chicago and we have a happy point guard. Not sure why you're talking out your ass on this.

What chemistry issues do we have? We have arguably the best low post scorer in the league who's excited as to be here and will fit into the system perfectly as long as he plays his game. He'll have to run more pick and rolls but as long as he dominates down low he'll fit in perfectly. An one of those new guys is an experienced vet that brings this team toughness who's been on this team before and knows the system. And a versitle Point Forward. And all of them are locker room guys who will fit in perfectly with the system. And all are Sloan type players who work hard and want to win.

And people claim Jefferson can't run the pick and roll but he hasn't missed a shot rolling to the basket since January 4th he either gets fouled, finishes, an and 1, or a turnover off a bad pass or just a stupid mistake.

Here's some notable quotes about Al Jefferson

"In over 200 post plays I watched on Minnesota never once did he get a pick to free him, only once was he moving when he caught the ball. He just gets the ball in the left block sets himself and makes a move and converts it 48% of the time. If you consider how many times he's fouled it's about a point a possession"

"On the over 200 post plays I watched only 7 times did he catch and shoot right off a pass, think about how many times Boozer and Millsap have just caught the ball and quickly put it up off good passing"

OKC seems to be the sexy pick but if Portland can stay healthy, I like them.

I still think a healthy Denver team with a healthy George Karl is better then Portland and just as good as Okc.

True but it seems that when George Karl is healthy he can at least keep their ego's in check and the play like a top team

So you think that your new players that are unfamiliar with the system are just going to walk right in and start clicking then? You may need to start listening to my ass.

I already addressed that in my earlier post. And of of those new guys on Utah has been here longer then alot of our players on this roster and knows the system well.

No. Boozer has never single handedly taking over games by himself. Boozer has never consistantly drawned double teams and averged near a point per possesion.

The two things Boozer has over Jefferson is shooting and passing. But Boozer settles for his shot instead of driving inside which doesn't do much when you already have Okur settling for jumpshots and having a paintphobia( The Irrational fear of going into the paint) . And Jefferson isn't a spectacular passer but it's not like he actually had anyone that spectacular to pass it to.

There's a much larger difference between their post games then there is between there jumpshots. Jefferson still has a consistant mid range jumpshot but he doesn't settle for it nearly as much as Boozer.

But Jefferson has arguably the best post game in the leauge and that's where his strength comes from. And he's a better rebounder even though he's forced to play against Centers which isn't even his natural position.

Once Okur is back healthy and Jefferson can play his natural position people will see exactly how dominant he really is down low on the boards and in the low post.

    Like I said on Minny

"In over 200 post plays I watched on Minnesota never once did he get a pick to free him, only once was he moving when he caught the ball. He just gets the ball in the left block sets himself and makes a move and converts it 48% of the time. If you consider how many times he's fouled it's about a point a possession"

"On the over 200 post plays I watched only 7 times did he catch and shoot right off a pass, think about how many times Boozer and Millsap have just caught the ball and quickly put it up off good passing"

He had no help so he's gonna have an orgy once he sees the screens set for him in Utah.

And no Boozer is not a better defender them him. That like Comparing Nash to Calderon on defense. Their both horrible. Except Jefferson is a better shotblocker but he plays against centers so I think his defense will shine in Utah.

And the biggest difference between Boozer and Jefferson is that Jefferson actually wants to be in utah. And Jefferson actually puts in effort for all his games instead of sitting out whenever he feels like it

Jefferson has every move in the post and still puts up pretty even numbers against top centers like Dwight, Lopez, Bougut and Bynum. Now Imagine what he could do against Power forward or just with a good passer

OKC will win the NW division, but they shouldn't really be in it in the first place. Utah will be second, Pdx will be third and miss the playoffs.

lol...Raja Bell doesn't know the system? Unless you're a point guard, our system isn't that tough to figure out. Especially for a power forward. The only problem I see with Jefferson is in the first game when someone sets a cross screen for him and he won't know what the that is since he's never had one set for him before.

Exactly. And if he's talking about Hayward then I guess every team with a rookie has chemistry issues
