Maybe number 1 right now, ever idk
Just per combination of speed, strength, and leaping ability.
If not, where does he rank?
Derrick Rose is more athletic. A case can be made for Baron Davis and Steve Francis as well.
If he hadn't a crawled in a hole when 32 year old Kobe came for him a few months back I'd be a little more impressed.
Francis could jump as high, but I don't think he was as fast or powerful. Baron was stronger but wasn't as fast and couldn't jump as high. Rose is a good match. Between those two, they might be the two most athletic points of all time.
Agree with this but it depends on what athletic qualities you value ...
I throw Penny and KJ in this discussion.
When KJ's hamstrings werent exploding his speed/hops were amazing for a PG and i hated the little prick. Penny though skinny had some hops, quickness and great length/reach which is an athletic quality as well.
honorable mention: Nate robinson and robert Pack. Nate was a great football player too.But neither were starting caliber PG's ...
sorry, I saw you focused just on 3 qualities but still agree and still think KJ and Penny are up there EXCEPT strength wise ...not sure Wall is that strong either ...

Westbrook has such a explosive first step it's redic
I made a comment a while back on this. He is a freak. Literally explodes to the rim. I wonder if we will see a noticeable e in fg% from him as he only shot 41% last year.
I think Westbrook has KJ beat across the board athletically, even if not by much. John Wall....c'mon.
Only guy I can think of with similar ability in each category is Derrick Rose, and even he can't quite match Westbrooks explosiveness speed and jumping-wise, IMO. Probably a little stronger, but that might be it. Russell's the most freak athlete i've ever seen at the pg position.
