Maybe that is why they backed out, perhaps it wasn't their idea to make Randolph part of the deal.
lol @ Knicks wanting to trade Randolph for Fernandez.
Dumb on so many levels.

According to the Belgian media, D.J. Mbenga will continue his career in the Denver Nuggets. Both parts would have reached a one-year agreement in principle.

thehoopsmarket was the same source about Mbenga staying with the Lakers for one year so I don't believe this unless it's reported in realgm or some more credible site.
He is gone from the Lakers though, that is sure.

Amundson Still Looking For Home
Training camps will open around the NBA in three weeks and free-agent forward Louis Amundson is still looking for a home.
"He's going to wind up fine here at the end of the day," agent Mark Bartelstein said.
"I think there are going to be some teams out there that are going to regret not going after him. He is a coach's dream. The hardest thing in this league to find is bigs that play with great energy every night, and just change the tenor and dynamics of the game."
Golden State, New Orleans, Indiana, Toronto and Charlotte are among the teams that have been linked to Amundson.
"Louis and I would like to have something done yesterday," Bartelstein said.
"At this point it's gone on for quite awhile and he wants to make sure he doesn't make a decision just to make a decision. There are a couple variables that have to play out that we think give us a clearer picture of what we think is the right spot. As soon as that becomes clearer, he'll want to make a decision right away."

Suns Unlikely To Give Dudley Extension
Suns forward Jared Dudley is eligible for a contract extension through October, but the team is unlikely to give him a long-term deal.
Phoenix made long-term commitments to Hedo Turkoglu and Josh Childress this summer, meaning they'll likely let Dudley become a restricted free agent next offseason.
"It would be nice," Dudley said of an extension.
"I'm not optimistic. My mindset is to go out and play my last year and go as far as we can. At the end of the year, I know if we win, I'm going to have a good year. I do a pretty good job of keeping healthy. My goal is to come out and have a better year than last year and have the team better. When a team is successful, everybody usually does pretty well. Look at Channing (Frye). $30 million. Tell him (to) let me get a little bit of that."

Nets Waive Sean May
The New Jersey Nets have requested waivers on forward Sean May, Nets General Manager Billy King announced today. "During a basketball workout last week, in preparation for the upcoming training camp and season, Sean May suffered a stress fracture to his left foot,” said King . “This injury has a four-eight week rehab period, which would not provide Sean a legitimate chance to make our team.” May, who signed with the Nets on August 9, 2010, is a four-year NBA veteran with career averages of 6.9 points and 4.0 rebounds over 119 career games with Charlotte and Sacramento.

Golden State would be a good place for him. Nellie doesn't try to plug players into a system - he creates a system based on the players he has. Melo would get to jack up as many shots as he wants to, and Nelson might even let him carry a gun on the floor, if that's what it takes to make him happy.
After seeing his boxing moves, he will surely need one....a gun, that is.![]()
why the f would he want to go to golden state.
that list shows us the mentality of the poor guy, too bad gatorade doesnt come with brain cells
Miami would be at the top of Dampier list if he's released
Dampier has already told at least one long-time associate in his Jackson, Miss. hometown that Miami would be at the top of his list if he's released. Dampier's camp also indicated that to the Bobcats, who are convinced he's likely headed for Miami if Charlotte can't find a trade partner.
