#1 is Joe Montana and you're re ed if you think otherwise.

    After that's it's debatable.
and you're re ed if you think that you couldn't plug a number of different people in at QB, and those great 49er teams wouldnt win multiple superbowls. those teams were ridiculously stacked in an era where no one knew really how to consistently defend a west coast offense.

Manning, Brady, Aikman, Marino, Brees, all would have been very successful on that team, just the way Montana was.

Interesting that Mono would take Brady "without question" right now but said this earlier:

Brady forcing idiotic passes and not being able to take advantage of Revis being out was the problem. The O-line gave him great protection for the large majority of the game. He's lost the edge he used to have, he's gotten complacent, and unlike earlier in his career where he wouldn't sleep all night after losing games, he'll sleep just fine tonight. He's saying all the right things to the media, but it's obvious he isn't as dedicated as he was back when the team was winning Super Bowls.

    Marino - 0 rings
    Bradshaw - 4 rings

Marino >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Bradshaw (possibly the most overrated player in NFL history)

Manning > Marino with multiple rings
Brady > Marino with multiple rings

Marino's stats are great, but not as good as some people think. A lot of his stats are the result of his longevity, and definitely aren't as good as Mannings. He completed under 60% more often than over. And was consistently mediocre in the playoffs, with minimal great or memorable performances.
    who said that Bradshaw>Marino?

Brady's worst playoff game other than Super Bowl 42 is prob that game he lost to the Colts. He wasn't doing jack anyway (3 scores before halftime were Corey Dillon running it in, Mankins recovering the fumble in the end zone and Samuel pick-sixing Manning), got chode bloaded into a 3 and out after the Colts scored, got easy field position after the Colts tied and bailed out by video replay and the old forceout rule on a touchdown, could only get his team FGs the rest of the way, nearly picked by Bob Sanders, cost his team the game by throwing to Reche Caldwell in crunch time, and threw a game losing pick.

That game was the death of Brady dominance in big games tbh.
Yeah, Brady sucked in superbowl 42, it's 100% his fault Justin Tuck corn holed his offensive line.

Brady didn't suck in the Super Bowl. Giants just had a perfect gameplan for them. Just the same way the Pats had the perfect gameplan for the Rams in 2001.

There was no perfect gameplan or anything, the Giants just became a great team once Shockey was injured and Manning actually got to control the offense, and this is gonna sound dumb, but midway through the season New England stopped being the dominant team it was, we all know they deserved to lose that Baltimore game. Being able to line Justin Tuck up inside because you already have Osi and Strahan at DE is a luxury no other team has. That team already beat two superior teams in the playoffs and was dangerous as .

Their gameplan was to allow no big plays on defense, minimal blitzing, just getting natural pressure from the D-line (up the middle preferably, since Brady is so good at stepping up from outside rushes), and having great coverage by the LBs and DBs, and to control the clock and hold the ball as long as possible.

Yeah that's not a real elaborate gameplan. "Never blitzing but getting pressure with your defensive line alone" isn't a gameplan nearly as much as it's having a sick ass defensive line.

So many teams tried blitzing non-stop to get pressure, and would get torched.

Giants would let them have stuff underneath all day, as long as they would keep the YAC to a minimum. Big plays were their #1 focus from what I saw.

    I agree

But Bellichick's playcalling last season and this season so far has been #($&&%(#

Yeah I agree completely that's why they needed to make a call to Charlie Weis. Put him in the booth calling plays and problem solved.

Both have played 18 playoff games

Manning Career Playoff QB Rating - 87.6
Brady Career Playoff QB Rating - 85.5

    Manning Stats - 62.9%, 5164 Yards, 28 TD, 19 INT, 7.46 YPA
    Brady Stats - 62%, 4108 Yards, 28 TD, 15 INT, 6.45 YPA

Games of QB rating being under 80

    Manning - 7
    Brady - 8

looks to me that Brady has had more ty playoff games than Manning. fortunately, he often had a defense that could help him out and prevent the team from losing the game, such as in the two wins against the Chargers, as well as some others, such as against the ans, and a game against the Colts.

Peyton only had that luxury one time, and coincedentally, it was the year they won the Super Bowl. Further proof that a load of SB wins are not a good way to determine a player's greatness.

All these words for basically the same exact sentiment

Every other great QB either had a stacked defense, great receivers, or is severely overrated only Peyton Manning has ever proven himself
