Cutler is the same as he's always been, TBH..I watched him from the first game of his NFL career, to his last game as a Bronco, to most of his games with the Bears..he's getting a lot of hype right now, because the Bears are 3-0..

Cutler is extremely talented, one of the most talented QBs in the NFL, but I don't think he's any different, at least IMO..he still throws a lot of stupid passes, makes a lot of bad decisions, and is still shaky in the red zone..

He's definitely the best QB the Bears have had in a long time, and he's a top 10 QB in the NFL IMO, but I don't really see how he's any different..the real test will be how he's playing down the stretch, because he always disappointed us when the team needed to not choke for a playoff spot(along with the rest of the team)..
I don't know whether I agree or disagree, but I'd love to see your top 10 QB list.

Are you counting the one where he got hit in the helmet by the defensive player?
My bad, I thought the ball was gone before he took the shot.

That said, his mechanics and decision making still leave a lot to be desired.

I agree about the footwork, but he also had a huge problem with keying in on 1 WR in Denver..he always had serious problems with that, and he was also too y, which made it worse..he would always try to beat a DB, even after reading the coverage, knowing it's a risky pass..he always thought his arm would beat the opposition..there were numerous coaches/analysts that said the same thing about him..

With that being said, I loved having him as the QB for the Broncos, and he made some of the craziest passes I've ever seen..

The lack of a true #1 in Chicago has helped him a bit. I still think he decides pre-snap where he's going with the ball too much instead of allowing the play to develop.

It's a problem most QBs have with his type of arm; they think they can make every throw into any type of defense. In short, they trust/love their arms too much.

    Tough one, TBH..

    1. Manning
    2. Brees
    3. Brady
    4. Rivers
    5. Rodgers
    6. Rothlisberger
    7. Schaub

I would have those 7 for sure, then I might have Cutler at 8?..Matt Ryan, maybe?..

Sanchez is improving, but he's currently average..Henne is average..Orton looks improved, but too early..Flacco is garbage IMO, Palmer is extremely overrated, Eli Manning is really inconsistent, Favre and McNabb have little left IMO..

    Maybe Vick if he continues??..

QBs aren't that great after those 7 IMO(might be forgetting somebody though)..

Back to the Bears, Lovie is still a ing moron. He's gotten lucky so far that his inept decisions haven't cost his team.

    Take the points.

I've been of the opinion for the past 3 years that Lovie Smith is the stupidest coach in football. Not the worst (although I would put him in the bottom 5 or 6), but the absolute opposite of intelligent when it comes to making calls. He needs to coach college or something -- the NFL is just out of his depth.

    Last thing about this game:

Finley is a ing stud and Kuhn is the new Havner.

Thompson is one of the best mid-late round talent evaluators in the NFL.

Perhaps I should introduce you to the meaning of the word "typically"? It's a difficult concept to grasp, I know.

So... you want less people to post here?

I've posted here before, even when the Bears have had a horrible team.

    Not at all.

It'd be nice if people posted here on a regular basis instead of coming out of the woodwork when their team is doing well.

I'm going to guess that you have more posts baiting that re ed dude in the Club in the last month than you have in this forum in three years.

Doing well? Uh yeah, we are 3-0 and that's exciting, but I fully expect this team to go 7-6 the rest of the way, at best.

I posted in here last night because that was a DAMN good football game, penalties aside, and it was exciting as to watch. I was waiting for the Bears to lose, but I liked the intensity from both teams, and both QBs made some huge throws.

This is about as shady of a 3-0 start as a team can have. Our offensive line is in shambles, our pass d sucks, and we have yet to find if we have a running back that's better than Jay Cutler. so yeah, forgive me for wanting to enjoy my teams good fortune.

um, this place gets enough traffic during the season to not qualify as a dead forum. i just think it's funny that like dpg, cry havoc is pulling this "i'd rather post in forums that more people read blah blah blah" nonsense, like it's some kind of putdown to the people who make the nfl forum great.

this is a pretty good forum compared to other parts of spurstalk but it's always going to have lame people who come out of nowhere and act like their team has won the super bowl when their team is winning. we saw bronco fan come out of the woodwork last season, texan fan after week 1 and now we've even got cry havoc posting in here.

    great ing forum

Maybe by dead forum he meant it has the lesser traffic on the board. Which I believe is true.

The Bears will eventually get exposed. They've looked like a 6-10, 7-9 team in both of the games I've watched.

A pretty good football team doesn't let Shaun Hill drive the length of the field only to get bailed out by a vague interpretation of a rule.
