This game is very good.
EA killed 2ks football with the NFL monopoly of players. 2k killed of elite with having Jordan.
EA killed itself with a bad game.
Not impressed with FIFA 11 - no life int he game. Controls aren't too responsive to me, as well.
Looks like ill be getting PES 2011 and 2k11.
2k11 is good!
2k11 with the Spurs so far:
- Rookie is too easy. Almost everything you shoot goes in.
- Pro ends up being too easy too once you figure out you can steal the ball at will. I racked up 40 steals with TP on a 8min/quarter game.
i'm going to pick this game up and hopefully play it regularly. i haven't played a basektball game regularly since i can't even remember.
IGN gave it a 9.5 and called it the greatest basketball game of all time.
I got back up to speed and now I'm playing on Hall of Fame level. Make sure you play in Simulation mode. In casual mode, you can cheat by stealing the ball at will.
Damn it I wanna play this game...gotta wait till Tuesday.
After playing a couple franchise games, I have no doubt my only complaint is the ing passing. They always lead the passer, and it ends up getting stolen. There is no incentive to NOT front every single post player. Hopefully they patch that quickly.
Couldn't you use icon passing and rotate the ball around to the weak side, then dump it into the post? If he's fronting, he should be easy to box out when the ball shifts to the other side.
Alternatively, are there sliders you can adjust to make the computer less aware defensively?

And the PC defense is all knowing.
Another glitch I found is that you can have the ball near the 3 point line, call and ISO, then slightly tap the controller up, and the guy defending you will basically move out of the way for about a second. That way you can score on almost every possession if you have a halfway decent finisher.

Damn. Talk about high praise. Looks like I finally might have a holy trinity of sports games: Winning Eleven 9 (hopefully PES 2011!), NFL2k5/Tecmo Super Bowl, and now NBA 2k11.
I just ordered it on Amazon.com and got 2 day shipping free. Thursday I'll be dropping the rock. Anyone want to game online (PS3)?
