I can't figure out why Finley picked the Spurs. The Heat were offering more money, more spotlight, more endorsement opportunities and a good chance to make the Finals. With the Suns, he could play with two of his best friend (Nash and Bell), he could start and he'd be on an up-and-coming team that is coming off of a WCF's appearance.

The Spurs? Uhhhhh ... he won't start, he won't make too much money, he's going to a small market and won't be a top scoring option. The only thing the Spurs give him is the best chance to win a ring.

It's all about the championship. That's all Finley wants.

    Amazing.

I loved Devin, but he needs a chance to play. He wasn't going to get a whole bunch of playing time here. Good luck to him.

Finley and NVE added to a championship team that lost nothing. That's sick.

See, once NVE was signed that changed Finley's mind from the Suns I think. Spurs will definately be the favs for this coming season. But ya still have to play the games.

This is truly unbelievable. The great thing is unlike the Lakers loading up a couple of years ago, is that all the players added are guys with starter talent knowing they have a bench role. This will be so huge during the year when guys are tired, dinged-up etc. Man what an off season!!!

Absolutely incredible. Much as we'll miss Devin Brown, this signing (plus the addition of van Exel) makes the Spurs the deepest squad in the league.

Don't forget---the one thing the Spurs haven't done in their recent glorious history is to repeat. This gives them a SERIOUS edge on doing that. Forget about Finley's past 'playoff failures,' remember he never played on a team with Duncan in the post and Ginobili/Parker in the backcourt.

Depending on the contract specifics, it will also be interesting to see if this leads to any other deals. Not that I think they SHOULD make any....this roster is stacked!!!
