    My first post, so I don't really know if this should've been in the other forum, but I just wanted to pass along the news that Yao won't be signing with the Lakers any time before 2012 A.D. As reported by Marc Berman on KRIV Fox 26 in Houston, Yao's signing a 5 year, $75+ million extension with the Rockets that starts in '06.

    There was no way the Houston Rockets were going to let him get away and the chance to appeal to 1.3 billion Chinese people for merchandise IMO.
