Indianapolis Colts receiver Anthony Gonzalez, who is being counted on to help replace Austin Collie, who recently underwent thumb surgery and will likely miss a few weeks, recently tweaked the high ankle sprain that he had been nursing since early in the season, according to a source familiar with the situation.

It does not appear to be a major injury at this time, but it is notable considering what the Colts receivers have gone through in recent days.

Besides the injury to Collie, the Colts also lost Dallas Clark for the season when the tight end was placed on injured reserve with a wrist injury.

Gonzalez might not be ready to play as soon as Indianapolis would like and it could be the latest setback for a wide receiver that has had plenty of them the past two seasons.

The Colts have a bye this week and return to host the Houston Texans on Monday Night Football in Week 8.

The Colts' first-round pick in 2007, Gonzalez missed almost all of last season after spraining knee ligaments in the season opener and later having arthroscopic surgery on the knee.
