I'm not gonna lie, I'm really excited about Shannon. First we heard that he had improved his jump shot in the offseason. Then he showed that improvement in the preseason. And now he starts off the season like this. I have no idea if he is going to keep this up but if he does our bench will be MUCH improved. Shanon Brown with a jump shot is something to get excited about for laker fans.

If Shannon comes to play like that, enjoy the 3 peat.

Even if Shannon doesn't play like that, I still think the Lakers win the Championship. Like many here, I'm not sold on Miami's inside game.

Miami is not the Lakers obsticle in way of the 3peat. Boston is. I would take playing Miami in the finals anyday over the Celts.

One thing that worries me about Boston is their age. I think they beat the Lakers (or Miami) in a 7 game series if the playoffs happened in January, but I can easily see them running out of gas in Spring.

They will coast just like they did last year. KG is not nearly as hobbled as he was ALL of last year. Shaq is going to be huge for the Celts in the playoffs. 6 hard fouls and Wade and LBJ will feel them all.

Agree with those who say Boston is every bit, if not more a threat to the Lakers than the Heat are. They have chemistry, they have leadership, and they have a deep, deep team. Last season was such a snoozer. I was excited for 2008-2009 for redemption. This year I am genuinely excited.

I will say this Celts worry me ...great defense AND if shaq gets to june my guess? you will get whatever he has left.
Celts are old but if miami has HCA the celts may be beter off with the 4 seed. The get the heat one round early ...and if it's the Magic in the ECF they seem to "own" those guys. If I am the Celts i take that 4 seed and pray for health come playoff time.

they are tough ...Perk maybe back sooner than expected.

Shannon was a nice spark last night. He's certainly capable of that from time to time. But I'm sure there will be plenty of games where he pisses Laker fans off just like last season, where he doesn't seem to get he doesn't have the green light like Kobe does when his shot isn't falling and he'll continue to take those 1-on-3 transition midrange jumpers even though he's missed his last 5 shots, among other flat out stupid decisions he'll make. I think this is true for both Shannon and Matt Barnes, and that is the team will be best served if their minutes are regulated very closely. Playing either of them 20+ minutes consistently basically just increases the odds they'll do something incredible moronic that will cost the team the game.

As for Boston and Miami, either will be tough for the Lakers if they end up making it that far in the playoffs. Boston has the skill, size, and experience to be very tough if they remain relatively healthy. But I wouldn't jump the gun on Miami just yet. There's simply too much talent at the top end of that roster. Getting Wade 100% and getting Mike Miller back makes that a much different team than we saw last night. They still lack size up front. But by April, I would expect them to be playing better basketball than the Celtics. Building better chemistry will make a huge difference as well

Yeah that sure is relevant with the Lakers being stacked at the 3 and Kobe ing Bryant starting at the 2.

It's relevant enough because when Phil slides Kobe down to the small forward spot like he did last night and many times last year, it opens more minutes for Shannon to get minutes at the 2. It's also relevant since when Artest sucks like he did last night, Phil might be tempted to play Barnes more (especially when either Barnes or Artest will spend some time at the PF just like last night with Bynum out for any extended time. A fully healthy Lakers team won't have issues playing Shannon or Barnes too much. If cir stances dictate they have to play more significant minutes game in game out, I think that's bad news for the Lakers.

    Cool troll.

Brown has the game of his life and plays 21 minutes. Ebanks played zero minutes last night and he's already better than Matt Barnes. The Lakers are in deep .

Pull out your vagina cream. Rub it evenly around the sensitive, itchy area.

I'm not suggesting at all that the Lakers are in deep . The Lakers are fine and depth is a good thing to have. I'm saying if Shannon and/or Barnes play too much, it won't be a good thing. I didn't say the Lakers are in deep . you're sensitive.

You said if the Lakers have to play Barnes/Brown 20 min consistently they're in trouble! Which is pretty ing re ed since that will never happen unless Kobe and Ron both go down with injuries.

I call it like I see it, Captain Obvious. Damn your cunny is sensitive per usual.

While Andrew Bynum is out and Phil Jackson downsizes to smaller line-ups with either Artest or Barnes playing minutes at PF and Kobe playing minutes at SF, there's a chance both Brown and Barnes get big minutes off the bench. And it doesn't require either Kobe or Artest to get injured.

My point is just that the more Brown and Barnes play, the more likely they'll end up doing something stupid that could cost the game. In no way am I suggesting it means doom for the Lakers. I didn't say the Lakers were in trouble. I said it wouldn't be a good thing for the team. Get another tube of vagina cream.

Yup still pretty ing re ed. And yes the bolded above requires a Ron/Kobe injury.

Big minutes = 15 and 21 apparently, when both were on their best game.

Now give us some more irrelevant rambling on things you know absolutely about. It's not like you have anywhere else to be.
