Blake was quietly a big improvement for the Lakers. It's a big leap from "terrible" to "average," can be just as valuable as going from "average" to "great" at a position.
Because Blake is taking minutes that went to Farmar (terrible) and Fisher (terrible regular season), this is quite an improvement because Blake is actually a little above average in efficiency.
Yes, it was interesting to see Phil go with both Blake and Barnes over his "proven vets" in crunch time. Pretty surprising.
