Huge disaster setting up for Hati. Tomas is expected to get very strong and come right into that nation. Pray, hope or whatever that it doesn't because it could make Katrina look tame.
Probably one of the last if not the last of the season but its going to get pretty damn strong.

Looks like he's drifting pretty far North. You sure he's going to hit Haiti? Looks like he's recurving really early.
Ridge is to the north and its fairly strong. He won't turn early.

hopefully its a quick hitter like the cmc suggests and hits the eastern tip of Cuba. They would still get hit by the worst part of the storm but at least its not a direct hit.
Damn just saw the 12z GFS and is really bad news for Haiti and the Dominican Republic
Yeah, I haven't had much of a chance to look at the models/maps. Still exhausted from the rally yesterday, so I just woke up.
What is the forecast for intensity? Could he still deepen to major?
Good news is that dry air and shear kicked the out of Tomas over the past 2 days. The bad news is that it survived and is now aiming right at Haiti and has a lot of hot water in its path.
Thomas is dumping torrential rains on haiti. We're lucky he's not stronger, but the rain is far worse than the wind.
What a sad, rough year for Haiti.
