So, I bet on the Lakers to beat the Raptors by 14 or more, and obviously, they can't come through for me..

Then obviously, the following game, they beat a much better Blazers team by 20 points..

    FTL..
There's your mistake, never bet on Laker spreads during the regular season. The best bets are Magic and Heat spreads, respectively (7-0 combined on them this year). O/U are a safer bet imo, especially with all the high-octane teams out west

Never bet for the Lakers when they are playing against compe ion. They'll always play down to the level of the compe ion

Portland proving tonight they are not a le contender. Honestly, the Lakers are the only true le contenders in the West. Everyone else is battling for 2nd place.

I blame Phil and Farmar ...
Phil becuase our bench roles were not defined. He left the PG position open and Brown, Jordan and Sasha just jacked up shots.
Jordan gets blame because it was his job to lose and he lost it. Too much ego and too little running the triangle offense. Kobe can break it because he is THAT good ..Farmar is not.

now the bench knows their roles and Kobe's recovery and Bynum's absence has allowed us to gell quicker. Also, Team USA did wonders for Odom.

I bet on both the Celtics and Hornets to beat the Heat on the moneyline, so I've won big money on them so far..

I've missed out on a few bets the last few days though..I ing hate when I do that..I'm about to pick on a game I feel good about, I have it set up and then I'm about to click it, then I change my mind..obviously the bet would have won..trusting your instincts is so big in gambling, I've always known that, yet I still have trouble going with it at times..

I bet on the Lakers, because they seem to be on a mission so far, and the Raptors are terrible..there weren't any mismatches Toronto should have exploited..obviously the Lakers came out flat on D though, they didn't really take the game seriously, which killed me..

No shame in losing a game to the best team in the West, tbh..

Instinct plays a big role when you first look at the Gameday spreads/ O/U's...then you follow it up with a little research/stat-checking if you so please. The Heat and Magic are methodically destroying inferior opponents, and both of them have a lot to prove, so they're a safe bet most of the time. WC matchups are great for taking the Over. I'm cleaning up on the overs so far this year--thanks largely to the Spurs (Rockets game, Suns game)
