Yeah that's why she didn't file in Texas. In Texas, she couldn't get spousal support unless there was abuse (since they have a pre-nup).

Anyway, yeah she is definitely bitter, spilling their business to Mario/the press. It's crazy to me that she did the interview with USWeekly about the texts (in the issue that came out today) ahead of time, and then filed for divorce on the day the issue came out. That's why her reps denied the divorce yesterday -- the rumors were ruining her plan to reveal it today

Exactly - her PR people are doing a of a job it would see. Probably well worth the money she's paying them.

I do wonder how much if anything the extension signing plays into this.

I think it's safe to say that 99.999% of the people here at Spurs Talk are not personal friends with any Spurs players.

I know a couple of our members do have regular contact with them, but the assumption that none of them are in the loop enough to know exactly what's going on with Tony and Eva's marital situation is not a reach in the slightest. So unless someone would like to come forward and say they have insider information and want to share it on SpursTalk, what Manny said is accurate.

This. Also, if this is true (and nobody can say definitively at this point), it's likely that this is a case of two people that were in situations that were not gratifying for them and they gravitated to one another as a result. Shared experience.

Is it the right thing to do? Of course not. But does it happen? Of course it does. And in numerous situations beyond infidelity.
