That's true - and that's why I find it hard to believe! A man would have to be an idiot to keep hundreds of incriminating texts on his phone.

Because it increases the likelihood of her getting money from him as spousal support. Tony's been sued; he's going to court, and Eva's legal team is doing everything they possibly can to position their client in the most favorable position possible - claiming that they have evidence of infidelity.

The whole text thing could be a bluff to get a settlement of some sort.
