Mr. 6/24's rookie numbers: 7.6 PPG, below 50 percent from the field.
Griffin's rookie numbers: 20.7 points, 11.6 rebounds, 53.1 from the field.
Wow, I didn't know that it was this lopsided. 20 years from now, no one's going to remember what Kobe did except his 6/24 shooting in the 2010 Finals.
You left out.
Kobe 15.5 min. per game as bench player.
Griffin 35.7 min. per game as starter.
Also Kobe was 18 at the time and Griffin is 21 now.
That said Griffin is a beast. I can't wait to see him in a Lakers uniform.
lol by the time his rookie contract is up you may not want him.
Sorry, the question was who was the better rookie, and I think the answer is clear here.
Your right Griffin is clearly the better rookie, but I still think usdane makes a valid point.
Kobe was only 18 during his rookie year?!..according to TheMachine, he was 19 during the threepeat..hmm..
so that makes Mr. 6/24, 29 this year?
