I don't think so. The MODs nominated have pretty thick in skin. , you can't really handle this place if you don't (sup namlook). Odds are mono and HH would be just as put off by ass-kissery as they would being told to their mothers.

Power can probably change people, not saying that it will, but it can. I've seen other forums where people are "well-respected" and "thick-skinned", but when they are nominated for mods, some start to get trigger happy with the bannings and people have to plea their case on why they should be reinstated. Then you will probably get assholes saying "listen to mods, they know the right thing".

Basically it will turn to a dictatorship like forum tbh.

I don't think we need moderation. Just smart, tactical regulation that will deter a ty poster from contributing, or at least get him to think twice before hitting submit.

You guys might not like it, but the spam bombing is working. Lakaluva's bull threads arrived DOA and he was out of here in no time, to the point where he was flooding irrelevant sections of Spurstalk, like the MMA forum, with nonsense. Usually, he'll stick around for a couple of hours to bask in the butthurt replies he gets, but that was hardly the case last night. No one fell for the bait.

But yeah, anyone who floods a legit topic with cut-and-paste shtick should be mercilessly regulated themselves. It needs to be used properly.

tbh cleaning this place up to proper NBA Forum standards won't be that difficult because the Forum standards are already so low.

basically I'd do 3 things.

1. eliminate gay trolling in decent basketball dicussions.
2. delete things that go way over the top
3. ban 21 Blessings

and the NBA Forum will back to par.
